Gasthaus zur Schießstätte — Restaurant in Berchtesgaden

WORST POSSIBLE EXPERIENCE!

We were basically scammed by one of the male servers (might be the owners?).

We gave 100 euros for a 72.20 euro meal and did not get any change at all. When we confronted the server about it, he said that we still had to pay “tax” to the German authorities.

What a RIP-OFF. When we checked with our hotel, they told us that all German menu prices already includes tax so there’s to need to pay additional tax/service charge or tips as we are accustomed to.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS...

We have our last dinner here before heading to Munich last week. The owner is bit strange. Don't say much or should I say bit impolite. Maybe he can't speak English well. Anyway the food is very good. I have a grilled Turkey salad. The dressing tastes good and not too much. My husband has fish. He really like it. The kaisercharrn is very well as well. There are plenty of parking outside and next to a gun shooting venue. Really recommend to anyone wants...

One of the best Gasthof in Bavaria. All personnel are fantastic and they let you feel at home speaking german, english and a bit italian. Food is excelent and high quality. Typical of this place from aperitize to meat and wurstel. They also allowed to enter with our XL dog. Beers are so good. A must if you come thru this village....
