Café Zauberbaum (ehem. Alfons) — Restaurant in Berlin

They stole our money! My friend accidentally gave the lady 20 euros but our meal was 10 euros and because we could only speak English there, the lady noticed that and when he said to her that she took 10 euros more she started rambling something in German. He felt uncomfortable and just gave up. Also the food is not that good and the price for it is too much. All in all, don't EVER go there, there are a lot of better cafes and restaurants to spend...

I bought an cone of ice cream here and suddenly I noticed that there was shattered glass inside the ice cream that I had swallowed some pieces of. I complained and felt scared and axious of swallowing glass but the only thing the staff said was ”oh, sorry”. And she called upon a colleague that picked up shattered glass from the ice cream box. I had to beg for a paper cup to spit out sharp pieces of glass. Damn...

Wir sind so ziemlich jedes Wochenende im FEZ und waren in den letzten 1,5 Jahren auch oft im Alfons essen. Während der alte Betreiber noch recht ordentliches Essen zu moderaten Preisen anbot, sind wir seit dem Wechsel sowie dem Umbau des Alfons nur noch enttäuscht. Die Speisen, welche ausschließlich aus Pommes, Bratwurst, Bulette oder anderen Fertiggerichten bestehen, sind nicht nur deutlich teuerer sondern schmecken auch nicht besonders. Bei unserem letzten Besuch wurde zusätzlich ein (selbstgekochtes?!) „ordentliches“ Gericht zu einem Preis von 5,60 Euro angeboten, war jedoch innerhalb kurzer Zeit ausverkauft. Wer mit mehr als einem Kind unterwegs ist und Mittag essen möchte, wird hier schnell arm. Ich finde es schade, dass so wenig Wert auf frische und gesunde Zutaten gelegt wird und werde künftig dort auch nicht mehr hingehen. Viele andere Besucher scheinen ebenfalls dieser Ansicht zu sein, da das Alfons (im Gegensatz zu früher) kaum noch besucht wird. Wer sich einen schönen Tag im FEZ machen möchte, sollte sich sein Mittag lieber...
