So many things went wrong during our visit. And it seems it's all because of that one particular wait staff that dealt with us that evening.
First of all, he said we didn't have a reservation, even though I did make a phone call the weekend before to ask for a table for four. Then, we wanted cocktails, yet apparently they didn't have ice that evening, so no cocktails were available. My choice of beer wasn't there either, and neither were the other drinks. We ended up going for wine. He offered us a bottle of wine, a Merlot. He mentioned that the price was 25 EUR but he'll give it to us for 22 EUR instead. We later checked the menu and that wine was nowhere to be found. Wine prices were weird on the menu too, one price for 0,2 and another for 0,5 but no price for a 0,75 bottle.
All throughout, the server looked like he didn't understand our orders. We kept repeating a lot of things since he didn't get them right. Our tandoori order was messed up. We wanted the mixed tandoori but only chicken arrived.
Later on, we opted for more wine, so we asked for another bottle. He first said yes, then tried removing our glasses. We refused because we wanted the same bottle, and then he recanted and said that we had the last bottle. So we just decided to pay. In the bill, everything was listed in detail except for the wine, which was just labeled as "Drinks".
We asked to pay by card, but the waiter refused and complained, and the excuse he said was that he already printed the paper marked as "Cash". I was thinking, what's so complicated about printing it again? Anyway, we just paid, and given the plenty of things that went wrong I definitely would not want to go there again.

Read moreWe eat a lot of Indian cuisine . In India and everywhere. This meal was disappointing: for starters, they had no pickles nor mango chutney (in an Indian restaurant??), although they tried to charge us in the bill (but, at my request, corrected it). The papadum was so old and moist that you could almost bend it like bread. Food was not tasty: even the paneer jalfrezi (supposed to be hot) was mild like ketchup, and the blend of spices was all wrong, both the tadka and the masala. The paneer cheese rather felt like tofu, and was all watery, leaky. The paneer Tikka could have been fajitas.
For the first time in perhaps 200 Indian meals, we had to leave all dishes totally unfinished. Both my wife and I. To be fair, the mango lassi was excellent (although they did not have salty lassi from the menu, which is our favorite).
Other clients seem to have liked it there. So I guess we were really unlucky, or it was a...
Read moreAbsolutely TERRIBLY small portions on the Mittagsmenu. 3 tiny pieces of cut up chicken squares. When I complained, they said, "it's the Mittagsmenu; it's a smaller portion. We told you beforehand, and that's how it is in all restaurants." First of all, nobody told me beforehand - I got lured in by the sign outside advertising a midday discount on the normal meal. Nobody told me it was going to be a smaller size, and it didn't say that on the sign. They shouldn't be advertising a midday "deal" or "discount" if they're just charging nearly full price for 1/3 the size of a normal meal. In addition to the false advertising, the server was very unfriendly in how he dealt with...
