This review might seem too long to read, but I would like to post it as someone who gives more importance to the hospitality and politeness of the host towards their customers/ potential customers. The review has nothing to do with their food, so you are welcome to skip it. To start with, I do not live in Berlin. However, while returning from a trip I was supposed to land in Berlin and then catch a bus for my onward journey back home. I was craving some authentic South Indian food and did not have enough time to dine in before catching the bus. So I thought to order food and get it delivered at the bus station (I could atleast eat something on my way back or not have to cook after a tiring journey).
As per the exceptionally good google reviews, I chose to order from this place, but unfortunately it was closed for delivery on Lieferando at around 5:30pm. I still thought to try my luck and called the restaurant. The person who picked up the phone was kind enough when I told him I would like to place an order. However, I then faced an unexpected disappointment. When I asked him if they also deliver food, he suddenly raised his voice and changed to an arrogant tone saying, 'NO NO NO WE DON'T DELIVER WE DON'T DELIVER'. It came as a shock to me as he was speaking politely just a few seconds ago. It doesn't make sense to yell rudely at a customer if you don't provide the service they need.
I think a polite 'Sorry, we don't deliver' or 'Unfortunately we don't deliver' would have worked instead of arrogantly pushing away a potential customer. It might seem like a minor thing to some, but I think it really matters how you speak to your customer even when it is not possible for you to serve them. In a way it really showed the hypocrisy of the host as to how they behave with their customers in such situations. First impression really counts and I definitely do not have a good one...

It's a pure vegetarian Indian food hub cum grocery store at Mariendorfer Damm, just 300 min (3 min walk) from U Ullsteinstraße. The shop is located on the main road hence is easy to spot! Also goes by the name "Spice Village." They have lunch menu discount from 12 noon to 16 hour so avail the discount to fill your tummy with mouth watering Paneer dishes, Basmati rice and special Indian Chai. Normally they are open from Monday to Saturday until 20 hour but yea if you plan a budget party there, they can stay open until a little later as well. Dosa and More also takes party orders!! So if you are planning to invite friends over n don't wanna go through all the cooking charade just give them a call a day before and place your order. They will call you back when order is ready to be collected or delivered! They take party orders from the minimum to more than 100+ you just have to order them a couple of days prior if it's 40+ orders. They also have an in house Indian grocery store so you can go through the aisles mean while your food is being prepared!! The menu offers a wide range of Indian street foods like Vada paw, idli, chhole Bhature, Paw bhaji and of course Dosa, being their speciality! Do try their special Dosa. They are quite friendly and hosts you like in a homely atmosphere! I'm in Berlin for over a year now and this is the first Indian store where I found thumbs up, the favourite Indian Cola. Don't go just by my words and do drop by to take your taste buds on a Desi Ride without burning a hole in the pocket.

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at the delightful restaurant after doing my shopping here, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a charming ambience that added to the overall warmth of the place.
Now, let's talk about the food. The Mysore Masala dosa, Schwezan dosa, Kachori Chat, and the complimentary Sev Batata Puri were absolutely amazing. Each dish was bursting with authentic flavors and spices that transported me to the streets of India. The Mysore Masala dosa was a particular highlight, with its perfectly crisp exterior and the tantalizing blend of spicy chutneys.
What truly sets this place apart, however, is the personal service provided by the owner. It was evident that he genuinely cared about his guests and their dining experience. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor made the whole experience even more memorable.
I highly recommend to anyone craving a true taste of Indian cuisine. Whether you're a fan of dosas, chaats, or simply looking for a delightful dining experience, this place is a must-visit. Prepare to be captivated by the incredible flavours, charming ambience, and the exceptional service that will leave you with a smile...
