This place is very lucky to have seated at this amazing location. To be fair, they did a good job offering plenty of outdoor seating with a great lake view and a nice playground for kids. But I still didn't like it mainly because I don't like businesses that set the customer's against employees. Staff looked exhausted and they're not the ones to blame. The place is obviously understaffed. It's interesting that they hired someone to sit in front of the restroom of a humongous restaurant to collect change though. Come on, that's ridiculous. When it comes to food and drinks, I can just repeat that it's nothing special but overpriced. I came to Germany for cheap bier, so I don't want to spend 4-5 bucks for a pilsner. Or 3 for mediocre coffee. Also best avoid rotisserie chicken, unless you bring or all for a saw to cut it.

I hate to be Debbie Downer but this restaurant has become a shadow of its former self - the prices have exploded, and the portions have gotten smaller. Not a good combination. A small plate of Kartoffelsuppe for 9 Euro? Fish-n-Chips so small a proper Brit would finish it in two bites for 16 Euro? And the Seasonal Shrimp Special for 59 Euro? I'm sorry, this is not the Ritz. The ambience is still nice - outdoor seating by the lake - and that's what drove us here in the first place. Lots of "old money" here - the patrons are usually 50+ with 7 figures on their bank accounts (that probably explains the prices). My advice is to skip and look for better options in the area.

It is actually a really nice restaurant. Despite the negative reviews I've seen, our experience was really good. Yes, the price is a bit higher around 25 euros per person but you are next to the lake with no other restaurant within a 20 minute walk. There is a beer garden right in front with self service food as opposed to the proper restaurant service of this place. The food was tasty with German classics like a currywurst. The staff were friendly and the food arrived on time. I would expect the service to slow down during the weekend for sure as it gets busy. Overall, a perfect location with some good food, I have to give 5 stars based on our experience.

❌ Bad service ❌ Very expensive ❌ Slow serving ❌ Discriminating

Extreme rude and the worst service I have ever experienced. This is a business who exploits the fact of being the only restaurant in the area, people will come anyway, eat what they're being served even if it's not what they ordered and they will also pay for it the highest price possible.

We were 2 men with an Israeli friend visiting Berlin. We were sitting at the table waiting for some attention.. Time passed, meanwhile came more people and sat too, then came the waiter but went first to a party that came after us, took their order (coffee and cakes..) and then found time to get to us... We asked to order hot drinks and cake but he said it's impossible. We asked why, he replied "from now on you can only order food, no coffee and cake" we said "but the table next to us got coffee & cake and came after us" he insisted, it is how it is no cake no hot drinks from now.. And he left! Guests around felf uncomfortable for us, this was humiliating as we had to leave the place, waiting for to get treated like this.

This place is a waste of time and space. Try your best to avoid.

The lake however, is beautiful.. bring food and coffee from home and have...

We wete guests at the easter brunch. 60€ per person (with drinks) was the offer.

Two stars might seem harsh, but let me explain. „With drinks“ was wong. It only meant a few drinks. The simplest things such es natural water werent included and would have costed extra… With 60€ per person, this is delusional. Its water?! And water with gas was included?! Still dont understand…

The food was good. But just good. Not exceptional, nothing really special and what i dont understand why restaurants, esspecially in berlin, still dont offer a variety of vegan options, apart the obvious like fruit and vegetables. Wow, such an effort. They didnt even had one option of alternative milk…? There is nothing complicated about that.

I love spending good money on good food. But nor the service nor the experience was that great, it was only expensive, without getting the required service for such a price.

This house lost its status. Unfortunatly. Because what will always be good is the location itself there. But the rest is not on its level at the moment. 40€ per Person would have been right. But 60€ (we were 5) was...

Disastrously overpriced. Big bottle of water for 9 (!!!) Euros, Cesar salad doesn't come with any protein and is already 12 EUR. You have to pay 10 EUR extra for chicken. The food is severely overpriced and of simple quality. The salad was also already old, with brown crusts around the leaves. The chicken was cooked dry without any flavor inside the meat, only outside with some basic thyme. A salad from Dean and David is more flavorful and balanced and fresher than this one here at half the price.

This restaurant is extremely lucky due to the location. The overpriced food was only made worse by being ignored by the waiters most of the time (being told to wait multiple times while they serviced people who arrived after us). Only one waitress was friendly and attentive.

So, if you come here, come for the view. The food is definitely not the highlight. We paid 91 euros for three salads, one bottle of water, and...
