Small coffee shop just near the Humboldthain SBahn. Cute little coffee shop but it left me with the feeling of "Corona blues" not seeing the place with your average coffee shop scene. Nobody working on a laptop, or chatting outside the store. Nevertheless this quaint little streetside coffee stop is a worth visiting. With a few varieties to choose from, you can select the roast of your choice for them to brew your cup of coffee. I went with the Finch, an Ethiopian variant with notes of floral and slight tastes of sweets. The cup and the coffee size was a bit small for a cortado, the type of coffee I ordered for the day, but nevertheless it was satisfying leaving me joville and in a good mood. The barista was kind and in good spirits even with the current lockdown situation here in Berlin. She gave me a quick explanation of the roasts on display that day, and explained what my options were, helping to make my decision. Apparently this coffee shop has taking the Amazon approach and launched their own subscription model, a bit funny, but also shows the type of business they're trying to run. The random Joe outside waiting for his chance to step into the shop to get his order mentioned he was already a subscriber to this coffee shop. You can pick up monthly or weekly roasts to take home to brew your own. Definitely would go back for another cup.

I came here for a cup of coffee after my workout. Owner was super friendly and kind and patiently explained the two espresso offerings to me. I think the lady who made my drink was new barista in training because the milk in my flat white was steaming hot and it tasted a bit rancid due to the burn. However- I can tell the beans were good quality. I was just distracted by the taste of milk. I still give five stars because my experience was pleasant. Owner was friendly and mistakes can happen while prepping drinks when new because that’s what’s life is for. Thank you for the morning

Fantastic beautifully designed chic cafe. Loved the vibe and the coffee did not disappoint either. Perfectly roasted and prepared by baristas on good machines who obviously know what to do with them. You would be surprised to know that in Berlin, this is not always the case! WiFi seemed a little slow so not sure if this is the absolute best work cafe out there but....and this is worth highlighting....according to the German wife they served us the best Franzbrötchen she had ever had! Cash and card are both welcome. Highly recommended.

Hands down one of the very best roasters in Berlin! The cup quality is great, the pricing transparent and the staff friendly.

Berlin is a city with no shortage of roasters. That being said, I've been looking for a good one for over a year. By chance a friend and I stumbled upon a little Café while being on a bike trip. Since I was out of coffee we had a chat with the owner who ended up re-selling a bag of Fire Finch to us. The coffee turned out to be delicious, I drank my way through the bag in no time and wanted more. Luckily Flying Roasters are Berlin based. I went on another bike trip and visited their Café for the very first time. They have a lot of distinct coffees, baked goods and of cause some coffee to go. There were also a couple of golden buckets standing around. As it turned out, you can get one for a deposit. Those are meant to be refilled on order to avoid unnecessary plastic waste.

All in all, I am hooked and I will he back for more as I already was so...

I'm increasingly a fan of light, maybe "Nordic", roasting--aiming for fruity and floral, delicate, complex, even tea-like, flavour profiles.

This place delivers! The staff are super-knowledgeable about what they serve. Their light espresso and their v60 options have been delicious. A great place to work, too: comfortable chairs, and a quiet room in back.

That's missing? They have a few good croissants, but generally not much for food. They sell v60 cones and filters, but somewhat surprisingly you'll need to go elsewhere for the other basics (grinder, gooseneck kettle, scale).

This is my favourite café in Berlin so far, although far from me. Spontan is a close second, and there are plenty of other good ones, but if you like third-wave coffee and expert advice, Flying Roasters is...
