Best restaurant in Tempelhof. We moved to Tempelhof 1.5 years ago and have fallen in love with this wonderful Italian restaurant. The staff are Sicilian, and every time we visit they are warm, thoughtful, and charming. The food is always delicious. The pizzas are outstanding (I like the Quattro Formaggio), the main dishes are large and tasty, and the daily specials are always a treat. The restaurant space is comfortable, not uppity, but classy and everything is reasonably priced. The restaurant is also extremely accommodating. We recently had a large group eat dinner here after our daughter's baptism and everything was perfect - even though we were late. They took such great care of us, our family, and our friends - and it became an unexpectedly big part of our special day. I can't say enough positive things about Trattoria Lauretta. I highly and emphatically recommend that you try it for yourself....

This Italian restaurant, which is ever so slightly off the beaten track, is friendly, fun and run by a sweet family. They are great with kids, and if you ask them, they'll turn the kiddy pizzas into rabbit-inspired pizzas with ears.
The food is delicious, freshly prepared, portions are generous, and the price is right.
We order takeout pizza regularly, and although they don't home deliver, they have no problem if you want to pop in and pick up. I haven't ordered any pasta dishes to takeout, but since they're accommodating and you can take leftovers home, I don't see why...

The pizza my friends ordered were huge and that's about it. I had a homemade linguini with truffle and Parmigiano. It was prepared with the pasta rolling in the wheel of Parmigianino. It came rather disappointing as none of the cheese from the wheel was melted into the pasta. They poured some kind of liquor into the wheel first and lit it on fire. I guess to melt the cheese beforehand but it didn't work when the pasta get to the wheel. They ended up having to scrape a few chunks of cheese onto the warm pasta which is soggy from the liquor.
