Mann-o-Salwa — Restaurant in Berlin

Like many, I arrived at this restaurant by searching it up on google maps, so it’s justified that I inform you of my experience. When I came to the restaurant it was empty, the waiter was outside smoking, I went in and sat, picked up the menu myself and waited. After a while, which felt like eternity when on an empty stomach, the waiter came and took my order which was some lamb biryani. The biryani did not taste anything like biryani, it was bland and lacked salt and spices, the crisp onions were nice though. I was hungrily gulping the food when I noticed the meat. It was white and pink in color, and super tough to chew. I brought this to the attention of the restaurant and they told me that I’ve never had biryani before, and that this is how biryani usually is. I asked them whether the meat was old, to which they said yes, It was one day old. Then another exclaimed that the meat wasn’t old, rather they forgot to put any spices on it, and instead boiled the meat. They insisted that boiled meat is normal, and that the one I received was under boiled, which meant it was a bit raw, hence the pink color. I must’ve had biryani a thousand times from various places, and have never once received boiled meat. In the end they give a 3€ discount for the “inconvenience“ and that was it.

Come to this place if you like un-spiced under-boiled meat...

Absolutely disgusted! Ordered takeaway said arrival time was between (22:50-23:10) at 23:10 said food was arriving soon so I waited out the front. 35 minutes go by I call the restaurant to be greeted extremely rudely and hung up on several times. Getting told “his out the front” when I was standing directly out the front for 1 hour and 20 minutes!! Eventually I gave up and went into my hotel… great view of the road from my room … at 24:20 delivery, driver pulls up. I ran downstairs and I’m so disgusted to say the delivery driver swore and claimed he was waiting out the front for 30 minutes when he wasn’t even waiting 30 seconds. An apology would’ve been lovely. Not only that the food was disgusting cold and I couldn’t even eat it. RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICES- DISGUSTING FOOD- AVOID...

Avoid by all means!! The staff is nice but the restaurant owner is always there and he's the meanest, most greedy, most dishonest business owner I've ever dealt with. He tried to cheat me 2 or 3 times, speaks on the phone very close to the customers incredibly loud and mean, and when I asked him if it's possible to speak more quietly, he said no. Then after the call came to my table and picked a fight with me. Then he sneakingly cancelled my The Fork reservation so I lose the discount, and blamed it falsly on the app. And everytime the app returned the reservation (that I attended of course), he cancelled it again so that I don't get the discount.
