Ormado Kaffeehaus — Restaurant in Berlin

If you’re like me, and have been toying with the idea of buying a Belgian waffle iron, then this restaurant is sure to bring you over the edge on that decision. Their Belgian waffle is €12 on Wolt. Just the waffle. That’s it.

It’s good though, so if your toilet is already too full of cash and you can’t add any more, you can spend it on this single Belgian waffle dish. 😊 It is likely going toward the energy costs for the iron itself, so it’s for a good cause. I have, unfortunately, opted for the buying-my-own-waffle-iron option.

UPDATE: It’s at 12.20 for a normal waffle and 12.90 for the most expensive. Sorry for the mistake. I will buy this waffle again when my new waffle iron breaks while I wait for a new one to arrive. 😋

UPDATE (2024): I was giggling about writing this review with a friend and decided to see what they were up to another year or so on. It’s now 14.20 for a waffle with powdered sugar and mine were delivered totally raw. I don't know if it's just that I am going to it at the wrong times, but I've never had a proper coffee shop vibe from Ormado's lichtenberg location. The staff are so slow; they always seem like they're in training; they get confused no matter what you ask for, and they stare at you when you sit down to drink a coffee like they've got nothing else to do. It's stiff and uncomfortable, not the chilled out, drop in and grab a cuppa Joe atmosphere that I personally go in for.

Like I said, it might just be poor timing... or it might be that the workers and owners don't 'get' the whole cafe experience. I think I will stick with nearby...

I recently visited Ormado and had an amazing experience! The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. The coffee is top-notch, brewed to perfection with rich flavors and a variety of options to choose from. The baristas are friendly, knowledgeable and always ready to make recommendations.
