The coffee and croissant were fine, but the attitude of the staff irritated me.
I came to the café to work remotely. No one had warned me beforehand that this wasn't allowed. At the very beginning, I ordered a croissant and coffee. I had a few meetings that I listened to on my phone (everything heard only me), and I even tried not to talk because I didn't want to disturb anyone. I was aware that my meetings were running long, and I couldn't even order another coffee.
When I finished listening to the meetings, I went to order another coffee. I was told that I was in a café, not at home, and I couldn't just sit there without ordering, as I should be ordering something approximately every hour. I replied that my meeting had run long and it wasn't intentional, but the staff member continued the topic. I spent a little over 3 hours there, even though it wasn't crowded. It wasn't pleasant because I had taken the initiative to place another order before being spoken to. This was the first time something like this happened to me.
After owner response: Your employee saw my laptop and I said that I WANTED BUY NEW COFFEE and I did it without asking, but “lesson” and tone of your employee was out of place. I see you write in every bad opinion that it’s client’s “ego”. I wasn’t looking to conflict, in my feelings your...
Read moreI had the worst experience I have ever had in a cafe. I ordered a coffee and croissant. I sat down on the bench seat, I put my jacket and bag on the seat next to me. There was noone else in the cafe. I was asked " bis du alleine?" I answered that noone else was coming. I had literally sat down and not had chance to organise myself. I was then told very rudely that I was taking up 5 places.. and given a lecture about if people walk past they will see no place for them to sit and not come in. I moved my stuff but had a bad feeling about the way I was spoken to. I finished my coffee and still didn't have my croissant so asked for my money back so I could leave. I was told not too leave and to wait for my croissant and yelled at when I said I did not want to wait. In the end I left being told to hau...
Read moreSmall café with only two tables, but more bar chairs. The selection of drinks is superb. They offer all kinds of coffee as well as frappés, shakes, teas and fresh orange juice. The breakfast/food selection is reduced to cold foods and somewhat limited, but everything they have is selected really well. I have yet to eat something that didn't taste well above average, be is croissants, bagels, cake or toast. Price-wise somewhere in between cheap and Starbucks (a tall coffee is 2.70 Euro). Well worth it however. Service personnel is super friendly. Good music selection. Instead of regular milk, you can get soy milk, bio milk and lactose free milk. Pfau Kaffee have their very own coffee beans (which you can...
