Pizza Lovers - Pizza alla Pala — Restaurant in Berlin

In terms of pizza it is the best I had in Berlin, and I come from Naples. It is not the traditional neapolitan pizza but it goes more towards the roman pizza style, which I absolutely love - the dough is light, airy, fluffy and still crunchy. The ingredients are really good which is rare in Berlin; generally speaking this would be great pizza also back home so it’s good by “italian standards “. If you are looking from a great pizza in Berlin which is also modern (but still in the italian interpretation of modern) I strongly suggest you to swing by even if you do not live in Lichtenberg. The price might seem slightly higher than average but they are actually pretty low: what they call a half pizza will probably fill you - the full one is huge and not for everyone. Not to mention that when I ordered a full pizza to split with another person they warned me it could be too big and shown me beforehand the size of the pizza -...

I will say it straight. This is probably the best pizza in Berlin; no kidding.

It's roman style "pizza al taglio". I ordered 3 slices and it was quite a lot just for myself as the slices are pretty big (each one sub-sliced into 3, so it was like 6 small slices).

I judged them based on crispiness, undercarriage, air structure and inner softness, sauce and quality/freshness of ingredients. It excelled in each of these categories. I simply have no "buts" for it. It was even very aesthetically pleasing.

The owner is super nice. He explained several things about the process and is very knowledgeable.

Keep in mind that this is a small place. There's only one small table inside and 4 small tables outside. From what I saw, locals order it online and then pick it up at the place.

I’m trying to speak German even that my German language is not good , one of the staff was very friendly but the other was not friendly at all. when i was going to leave he had behave badly and he talked bad about my language , so if you don’t speak German i would suggest not to go there and advice the staff to be more friendly. The pizza taste good ——
