Pizzeria Alte Forno — Restaurant in Berlin

It’s the best pizza I have ever tried outside New York and Los Angeles. I am from USA in Berlin and have been a repeat customer ever since I have arrived in the capital. My absolute fav: 38cm diameter, extra (double) cheese, extra (double) salami, extra (double) mushrooms, extra (double) onions (especially red), and jalapeños on the side. Green bell peppers are another awesome topping. Forget Call-A-Pizza! Alte Forno’s pasta and Tiramisu are also out of this world. On a separate note, my go-to is the location on Nonnendammallee. It is so clean as if it was just constructed and commissioned. The restroom is super clean. I have not seen any public place this clean and staff so very friendly and attentive to special requests. Terrible dining establishment. Bottom line. Used to come here to buy snacks because I needed to use wifi for school work since my apartment does not have any. Staff was friendly at first, then suddenly I wasn’t allowed to work on my laptop there anymore despite purchasing something during every visit. There was always plenty of space for other paying customers. Staff would also cause issues with my friends as well, frequently trying to hit on my girl friends. I was staying at Berlin for three months last year, and about two minutes walk from my apartment was this restaurant! I think it was a major convenience that I can buy myself a pizza or pasta or anything I needed and can walk 2 minutes to my apartment. Prices are reasonable, at least better than most places in New York, and friendly staff. Worth a try if you ever are walking...
