I don't like to badmouth, but I'm going to be brutally honest here. The kebab I had here was one of the worst I have ever eaten. There was a small amount of chicken that didn't have much flavour, quite a lot of English Sunday roast style roasted veg which was greasy and bitter, some white cheese which is similar to feta, but bitter and without much flavour, and a very basic salad (had some mint which was the only redeeming feature). All of these things add up to a pretty mediocre kebab, but the sauces were what made it actually disgusting. The 'Garlic sauce' is light mayo with dry herbs and garlic powder added, while the hot sauce is a blend of ketchup and festive spiced raisin chutney, it's sickly sweet but absolutely no heat. It tastes just like someone up a Stollen cake with a load of ketchup . Both of these sauces must come from a big plastic tub, because the exact same sauce is used all over Berlin, especially in the cheap chains. If you want to understand how this gemuse kebab came about, it was a response to mad cow disease, when beef and lamb were not available, so chicken was used instead, with fried vegetables to bulk it out. The sauces were adapted for white Germans, who don't like spicy food, but love sugar and mayonnaise. Most kebabs in berlin are quite sickly / tasteless / cheap tasting, but there are a few exceptions. I had the feeling it was a tourist trap like mustafas, and I wasn't wrong. Seems to be mostly for tourists, influencers and digital nomads that possibly have never had a good kebab to compare it to. The ratings and reviews here are strangely positive, so some people must be into this kind of food (good for them), but for those that are looking for a good quality turkish kebab, I hope this review finds you in the sea of reviews by cult followers and sheeple, and you look elsewhere, they are there if you look....
Read moreI recently visited Ruyam Gemüse Kebab Haus, and honestly, it was one of the best food experiences I’ve had in a long time. I ordered the vegetable kebab, and it completely blew me away. The flavors were spot on — the vegetables were perfectly grilled, full of taste, and the meat was juicy, tender, and absolutely delicious. Every bite felt like it was made with care and love.
What really makes this place stand out, though, is the atmosphere and the people. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind. You can tell they really care about their customers. From the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable and taken care of. It’s the kind of place where you don’t just eat — you actually enjoy being there.
The restaurant itself has a great vibe — relaxed but lively at the same time. It’s clean, cozy, and full of good energy. You can sit down, take your time, enjoy your food, and just have a good time. It’s a spot that makes you smile without even realizing it.
The menu has a big variety — so many different kinds of kebabs and other dishes, all fresh and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality in every dish. And the prices? Absolutely fair. In today’s world, it’s rare to find a place that gives you such great food for such a good price. The value for money here is honestly unbeatable.
Everything — from the food to the service to the atmosphere — just comes together perfectly. It’s one of those places that instantly becomes a favorite after just one visit. I’m already looking forward to going back and trying more from their menu.
If you love good food, friendly people, and a place that feels alive and welcoming, Ruyam Gemüse Kebab Haus is 100% worth a visit. Highly, highly recommended — I’d give it way more than five...
Read more19.05.25 Update. Lately this place has been a disappointment despite their usually tasty kebaps, not following requests on order and another one that happened today, where I ordered Kebap Durum as usually and asked it to be not spicy, I got a Kebap that was spicy and had no salat, I did ate the half thinking/hoping that the spicy sauce was at the top only and was hoping that I'd reach salat by the half too which didn't happen, so I went to inform them only, but then one of the employees started to half-yell saying that I ate it all, why'd I eat it. I did said that I could eat the rest and no need to make a new one but they took away mine and just without saying anything just made me wait next to the register without saying anything nor trying to listen to me and I did mentioned I did not liked the attitude of the kitchen personal that I had an unpleasant talk with earlier..
So I've been to this place numerous times, also before they moved to the current building which is bigger, I definitely enjoy the food, it is tasty, but lately, there is at least few cases where I was getting not what I was ordering, in general that wouldn't be much trouble if not the waiting time... I mean, if you experience it once, you could get away with that, but multiple times? Kinda slowly getting fed up with minor but a few issues that are combining together at the times and feeling...
