I don't like to badmouth, but I'm going to be brutally honest here. The kebab I had here was one of the worst I have ever eaten. There was a small amount of chicken that didn't have much flavour, quite a lot of English Sunday roast style roasted veg which was greasy and bitter, some white cheese which is similar to feta, but bitter and without much flavour, and a very basic salad (had some mint which was the only redeeming feature). All of these things add up to a pretty mediocre kebab, but the sauces were what made it actually disgusting. The 'Garlic sauce' is light mayo with dry herbs and garlic powder added, while the hot sauce is a blend of ketchup and festive spiced raisin chutney, it's sickly sweet but absolutely no heat. It tastes just like someone up a Stollen cake with a load of ketchup . Both of these sauces must come from a big plastic tub, because the exact same sauce is used all over Berlin, especially in the cheap chains. If you want to understand how this gemuse kebab came about, it was a response to mad cow disease, when beef and lamb were not available, so chicken was used instead, with fried vegetables to bulk it out. The sauces were adapted for white Germans, who don't like spicy food, but love sugar and mayonnaise. Most kebabs in berlin are quite sickly / tasteless / cheap tasting, but there are a few exceptions. I had the feeling it was a tourist trap like mustafas, and I wasn't wrong. Seems to be mostly for tourists, influencers and digital nomads that possibly have never had a good kebab to compare it to. The ratings and reviews here are strangely positive, so some people must be into this kind of food (good for them), but for those that are looking for a good quality turkish kebab, I hope this review finds you in the sea of reviews by cult followers and sheeple, and you look elsewhere, they are there if you look....

I recently visited Ruyam Gemüse Kebab Haus, and honestly, it was one of the best food experiences I’ve had in a long time. I ordered the vegetable kebab, and it completely blew me away. The flavors were spot on — the vegetables were perfectly grilled, full of taste, and the meat was juicy, tender, and absolutely delicious. Every bite felt like it was made with care and love.

What really makes this place stand out, though, is the atmosphere and the people. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind. You can tell they really care about their customers. From the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable and taken care of. It’s the kind of place where you don’t just eat — you actually enjoy being there.

The restaurant itself has a great vibe — relaxed but lively at the same time. It’s clean, cozy, and full of good energy. You can sit down, take your time, enjoy your food, and just have a good time. It’s a spot that makes you smile without even realizing it.

The menu has a big variety — so many different kinds of kebabs and other dishes, all fresh and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality in every dish. And the prices? Absolutely fair. In today’s world, it’s rare to find a place that gives you such great food for such a good price. The value for money here is honestly unbeatable.

Everything — from the food to the service to the atmosphere — just comes together perfectly. It’s one of those places that instantly becomes a favorite after just one visit. I’m already looking forward to going back and trying more from their menu.

If you love good food, friendly people, and a place that feels alive and welcoming, Ruyam Gemüse Kebab Haus is 100% worth a visit. Highly, highly recommended — I’d give it way more than five...

19.05.25 Update. Lately this place has been a disappointment despite their usually tasty kebaps, not following requests on order and another one that happened today, where I ordered Kebap Durum as usually and asked it to be not spicy, I got a Kebap that was spicy and had no salat, I did ate the half thinking/hoping that the spicy sauce was at the top only and was hoping that I'd reach salat by the half too which didn't happen, so I went to inform them only, but then one of the employees started to half-yell saying that I ate it all, why'd I eat it. I did said that I could eat the rest and no need to make a new one but they took away mine and just without saying anything just made me wait next to the register without saying anything nor trying to listen to me and I did mentioned I did not liked the attitude of the kitchen personal that I had an unpleasant talk with earlier..

So I've been to this place numerous times, also before they moved to the current building which is bigger, I definitely enjoy the food, it is tasty, but lately, there is at least few cases where I was getting not what I was ordering, in general that wouldn't be much trouble if not the waiting time... I mean, if you experience it once, you could get away with that, but multiple times? Kinda slowly getting fed up with minor but a few issues that are combining together at the times and feeling...

My visit to Rüyam in Schöneberg, Berlin, was a true culinary discovery. Here, you can enjoy a refreshing alternative to the traditional meat döner by focusing on delicious, fresh vegetables. What immediately impressed me were the many vegetable options you could choose from. From juicy tomatoes to crisp salads and grilled vegetables – the possibilities seemed endless. I opted for a combination of everything to experience the full range of flavors. The taste was simply fantastic. The vegetables were perfectly prepared and carefully seasoned, creating a harmonious balance of different flavors. What truly sets this place apart, however, is not only the exceptional food but also the friendly service and cozy atmosphere. The staff was welcoming and accommodating, and the shop itself exuded a warm, inviting ambiance that invited you to linger. Overall, my visit to Rüyam was a real pleasure. If you're looking for a healthy, delicious alternative to the traditional döner, then this is definitely the place for you. Make a trip to Schöneberg and treat yourself to a fresh delight at Rüysm Vegetable Döner – you won't regret it!

Amazing Döner we’ve had here! There was a long line when we arrived to the shop but it was worth the wait. The Döner bread was crispy, the filling was delicious and the portion was huge! My husband and I ordered option 1 on the menu and a yogurt. We were both full after finishing our order. The price is so affordable, it was around 8-9 Euro for our dinner, which is unbelievable for the quality that we had. The staff were lovely too. When we were waiting in a long line, a staff offered each of us a small snack and it was great. Also, I found out that the payment was by cash only but I didn’t have cash with me, the lady in the cashier was gentle and said she would wait for me to get the cash from my husband. Thank you for truly care for your customers and a fantastic customer service! One thing we found out the location on Google map is the old one. The new location is on the other side of the street and only 100m away from the old one. There is a sign about it when you arrive to the Google Map location. If you’re looking for a Döner while in Berlin, look no further, this is the place!

Oh man, I would give this place 10 stars if it were possible. A close friend who is from Berlin urged us to try this Döner Kebab place. He reckoned "this is the best kebab place in Berlin". For fast, convenient food, this place is such a gem. My parents ordered the official Döner (a sandwich meets gyro) and I ordered a vegetarian plate. Every ingredient came together in such a beautiful way visually and flavorfully. The colors were so pretty I didn't want to start eating! The service was very quick and the workers were so nice and happy to serve us. We sat at a picnic table right outside of the entrance people watched Berliners as we smashed our meal. The potatoes were perfectly glazed (whole dish is GF), the hummus was the absolute best I've ever tasted, and the salad was very very fresh. My parents were equally impressed and satisfied as they devoured their massive Döners. The price reflects cheap street food, but the actual food here is top quality plus giant portions. There are several locations so like my friend Claude said, you MUST give it a try!
