Since I was eating alone, I ordered just a plate of Idli thinking it would be light, but there were 5 big pieces (wasn't a surprise, it was mentioned on the menu). It was strictly ok. They used parsley instead of corriender which spoilt the authentic taste. The sambar was not South Indian enough, just a non-sour lentil soup, and the chutney seemed like it was not made of fresh coconut (saying coz I've tried making it with desecrated coconut and coconut milk myself and it tasted the same, or maybe the coconuts in Berlin taste like that only). Real spices like cardamon, clove etc. are used and all is made fresh. Massive choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes, too. The vindaloo is divine, defo one of the best - if you can handle the heat. Hot and spicy but still clear layers of distinct flavours discernable. Very much recommended if you are after proper curries, kinda like the ones you might have had on your travels in Asia or in the UK. Service is ok, not top of range, but who cares if cold beers and flavourful curries...
Read moreDear sir, I visited the restaurant on 19.09.2020 in the evening while there was a birthday party that was happening. I had ordered for a masala dosa and kuthu roti with mango lassi.
The dosa and sambar was really good, lassi was also good. And three stars is just for that.
Kuthu roti with egg was not that great, also the chutney that came along with dosa was not good. Also I had to wait for almost 50 mins to get served, I understand that there was a party but its your responsibility to pay attention to other guests as well!
