If I could give this restaurant and the experience more stars, I would. This was one of the most special dining experiences I’ve ever had and I consider myself to be a true foodie and have eaten all over the world.
My fiancé and I went here to celebrate our engagement and it was the perfect place for that.
We had an amazing bottle of Grauburgunder. Incredible half bottle of a Shiraz merlot blend. Shot of Nikka from the Barrel. And a lovely glass of sparkling moscato, compliments of the house for our celebration.
We had 7 courses, each one of them so perfect I can’t even believe it. Including 2 desserts! Perfect tastes. Portion. Sauces. Presentation. 100% perfection.
The restaurant is so beautiful! Even the bathroom! We had a front row viewing of the kitchen as well and got to watch everything be prepared. Jazz playing in the background.
The chef and his wife were extremely friendly and inviting. I can’t wait to come here again.

Read moreI went to Yuumi a few weeks ago and I'm still awestruck. I've lived in Berlin for 8 years and have gotten so used to managing my expectations that I was completely blindsided by the quality, taste, and experience I had here. I've been to Japan 5 times and the omakase here was significantly better than any of my Michelin star experiences there. It was the best meal I've had in Europe. It's difficult, maybe impossible, to do strictly Japanese food at that high a calibre in Germany, especially at this price point. The European twist on traditional Japanese cuisine is what makes Yuumi that good. It's not just highlighted in the ingredients, but the chef's story and experiences, which you will learn all about. I don't think I've ever experienced an omakase where every dish competed on an equal level with the last. I could go on and on about everything I loved about the experience, but will just say,...
Read moreAmazing restaurant! I live in the same street and haven't noticed that a new restaurant is opened for 2 months until I recently found it on Google maps 😂 The daily menu will change according to the season or the allergy of the guest, and it needs a reservation 24 hours in advance, so that the restaurant can adjust the menu and prepare for the food. The restaurant is cozy, not crowded like a normal restaurant, and I'm sure they made a great effort in the decorations and the furniture. it has a really relaxing vibe, with the piano playing in background, you feel pretty comfortable sitting there, and the Chef is also quite friendly. The food is amazingly delicious and I would say it's the best restaurant you could find in Berlin with the same price. Pumpkin soup, pork belly, Tajarin and Matcha tiramisu are my favorite dishes, and I really enjoyed the evening at Yuumi, would love to come here...
