Ristorante Pizzeria I DUE — Restaurant in Berlin

Absolutely brilliant authentic Italian Pizzas and a large array of delicious meat dishes served in a cosy corner cafe with real Italian warmth in the service. Their starter platter is strongly recommended for the range and quality. Pizzas are thin, crisp,luscious and full of flavour- just as you would want them to be. Each of the pizzas we’ve eaten here have been excellent- every time. Their meat dishes are to die for - the veal chops in Gorgonzola sauce is my favourite but I’ve not eaten ONE bad dish. They also have 6-7 fish dishes including the day specials - which are very good too. The risotto however isn’t quite the same “exceptional” standard as everything else.

There is a decent selection of wines and other drinks. Tiramisu and caramel custard are our recommendations from the desserts section.

Family of 4 ends up with a bill of 70-90 euros without drinks.

And yes - they are very dog friendly - and what more - our dog too, loves...

This was a strange experience. i was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff and could chose my table (unusual, specially for a solo diner). Ordered a pizza which was very good and excellent value. The weird part was when i came to pay. I got my card out and the waiter shrugged his shoulders and said he was sorry but no cards 'it's not working'. I was in a bit of a panic as had no cash and offered to go to the nearest ATM. Then he said 'one moment' and went off. Then he came back and said it was now working and I was able to pay with my card. I suspect there was nothing wrong with the card machine and they just wanted a xash payment. I won't speculate further on why that might have been. Was a shame as it left a sour not after what had been a very pleasant experience up...

Das Lokal ist weder Hip noch Chic, ist sehr eng bestuhlt, oft sehr voll, die Deko aus den 60er Jahre mit entsprechenden 60er Jahre Pflanzen auf den Fensterbretten. Fesche, Trendy Jugendliche Charlottenburger waren an dem Abend weit und breit nicht zu sehen. Die Tische haben zwar eine Stoffdecke, die Servietten sind aus Papier und das Besteck ist nicht sehr hochwertig... genauso wie die Menükarte in Din A4 Blister. Das Personal braucht (bei nicht Stammgäste) etwas Zeit um auf Temperatur zu kommen... Die Preise: etwas sehr gesalzen. Das Essen ist Okay, aber nichts besonderes, ein carpaccio vom Rind ist kein Hexenwerk. Die gratinierten Jakobsmuscheln hatten ihr delikates Aroma durch zu viel Gratin-Soße und Käse verloren. Das Rinderfilet war dagegen wie bestellt à point gegart und zart. Die Nachspeisen wurden ausdrücklich ohne Sahne bestellt, sind typisch italienisch, werden gerne mit Sprühsahne serviert und sind anscheinend nicht hausgemacht. Die Cassata war aber in Ordnung. Alles in allem überteuert und durchschnittlich. Was aber sehr störend und unangenehm ist sind die Küchengerüche die sich im gesamten Lokal verbreiten und natürlich vor Kleidung keinen Halt machen, so als hätte man Tage in einem billigen engen Pommes...
