Trattoria Splendido — Restaurant in Berlin

My husband and I love this neighborhood spot. We have always been warmly greeted by Chef Memo and the service personnel. Their complimentary homemade infused oils with bread are a great treat to start the meal. From pizza to fresh dorade, everything is always delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and charming. They treat you like a true neighbor and are generous with their service! I could eat there a few times a week - and sometime do! It's a wonderful, homey, friendly and delicious spot in Charlottenburg. I highly recommend it for those wanting a nice homemade Italian meal as well as just a place to have a glass of wine and read a book. After a full-on day at the trade show, I was exhausted and just wanted to get away from the crowds and traffic. Stumbling across this little restaurant tucked away in Berlin felt like the best discovery. The atmosphere was so calm and cozy, exactly what I needed to recharge.

The food was absolutely delicious—beautifully cooked, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. On top of that, the staff were so friendly and welcoming that it felt less like being at a restaurant and more like being looked after by friends. The service was spot on without ever feeling rushed.

Wir sind nicht oft im Westend, daher ließ ich mir von Google helfen, ein nettes Restaurant zu finden. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Trattoria Splendido lässt sofort das Gefühl von Urlaub in Italien aufkommen - die karierten Tischdecken, das charmante, aufmerksame Personal...Von der ersten Sekunde an habe ich mich als willkommener Gast gefühlt und allein das verdient schon 5 Sterne. Kommen wir zum Essen. Ich liebe diese großzügige Geste der Gastfreundschaft, wenn dem hungrigen Gast bereits vor der Hauptspeise Oliven, Brot und Öl serviert werden - man wartet geduldiger und was kann schöner sein, als frisches Ciabatta genüsslich in Olivenöl zu tunken und dazu ein Glas Hauswein zu trinken? Lange warten mussten wir dennoch nicht. Auf Empfehlung des Kellners hatte ich die Focaccia mit Schafskäse und Rucola, mein Begleiter die Tortellini mit Trüffel. Die Focaccia war ein Traum, luftig und knusprig, der Belag fein gewürzt. Wie gut kann das Einfache sein! Von den Trüffel-Tortellini durfte ich kosten und auch hier war ich angenehm überrascht, von der fein komponierten Füllung. Die Trüffel schmeckten nicht vordergründig, der Knoblauch dezent, gut abgestimmt mit dem Parmesan. Zum Abschluss gab es Caffé Doppio und einen milden Grappa, der ging aufs Haus.
