Service was friendly and the setting was nice and typical of a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin with lots of flowers and cute decorations.
The food and drinks were quite disappointing, we ordered 2 starters, 2 mains and 4 drinks between us.
The starters were a mixed bag, crispy prawns were great but the lemongrass soup was so salty we couldn’t finish it. The first main dish of duck & chicken with sweet potato fries was also incredibly salty , the duck was grizzly and the chicken was super dry it tasted like it had been reheated a few times already in a really salty sauce. The other prawn dish was ok but really nothing to comment about. We ordered 1 round of house cocktails which were the type you get on holiday when you’re 16 - full of sugar and not much else, we switched to wine and didn’t finish it because that was also bottom shelf supermarket stuff.
The bill was 50euros which isn’t bad considering the size of our order.
I’m genuinely perplexed by the average 4.8 rating, maybe we just came on...
Read moreWe were here on a Thursday it wasn’t very busy, and still the service was super slow for some reason. We saw other customers complain for waiting so long and then leave so we were cautious already. Even tho it looked like two servers were working outside they were taking their time, walking/standing around very relaxed. Then the drinks took like 10 minutes? okay? It was iced tea. The food was quite basic, maybe it was the dishes we had, but it tasted like every Asian convenience kitchen ever (so everything comes frozen) I was pretty sure that my food had meat in it even tho I ordered a vegan dish and when I asked does it have beef the server said yes, but we weren’t sure who’s dish was who’s so we didn’t complain then. I ate the dish anyways, as I’m not vegan but all in all very weird experience. I’m sorry, but I wouldn’t recommend this place. My friend was very disappointed with the food too. And then you can’t pay by card???? We had to run to a bank at the end...
Read moreOne of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the Western world, and I've eaten at plenty! Highly recommended place to eat if you're in the area. They do both sit in and take out. All their food is freshly cooked. Prices very cheap (about €6.90 for a main noodle dish) and portions are generous. Service is highly attentive and the place looks like it's new, with a very attractive wooden interior. The menu is in both german and english and staff are able to speak enough English. Would recommend their mien xao (glass noodle dish) and pho. Mango-infused dishes appear to be a fad in many of the Vietnamese Berlin restaurants - didn't get to try this but I saw a lot of people eating it so must be good. Note that it...
