Trattoria Lugana — Restaurant in Berlin

Do not try it. Very bad!!!!!! Don't try this restaurant, the environment is extremely bad, there are a lot of flies flying around, extremely unhygienic, you have to keep waving your hands to get rid of the flies. We had two bites of spaghetti and found a dead fly inside the spaghetti. We asked the waiter for help and he kept asking if the fly was in the pasta itself, saying that the restaurant was already full of flies and that he did not believe that the fly was there when the food was served. He thinks the fly was there it is after they provided the food. They made it sound as if we put them there on purpose and just took away the plates without any follow-up action, not even an apology. Then they gave us the bill and demanded that we pay for the pasta. We were questioning the waiter and he was extremely rude and impolite. We showed him a picture of a fly and the waiter said that the fly was in the neighborhood and flew into the spaghetti and kept pointing to the number on the bill and asking us to pay for it, speaking German and pretending that he didn't know how to speak English. Then he cursed us in English and asked extremely rude questions. They asked us what country we were from and if we were Chinese. The picture shows that the fly was covered with sauce and was already dead. If it was a live fly flying around, it could not have died immediately after coming into to pasta. He suddenly took our phone without saying a word and went back to the restaurant, extremely rude. Then when he came back out, he said we had to pay half the price because we had eaten the pasta. If it didn't have the flies, we would have eaten the pasta, but who would dare to continue to eat the pasta if it had the bugs? The waiter's attitude was very bad. He looked at us with a very mean look. We are the victims, right? As a restaurant, the most basic thing must be clean to ensure the health of customers and have a quality dining experience. However, this restaurant knew that their dining environment was extremely poor, full of flies, and unhygienic, and did not make any apology attempting to use various reasons and treating us with extreme rudeness, as if they thought we intentionally did not want to pay. The experience was really bad. In the end, they said in English that we were not allowed to come here again. The hygiene problem was with the restaurant and we said we wouldn't want to come back either. He whistled extremely rudely. Do not try it....

I was ordering pizzas here regularly, always same set, with a pick-up most of the times. One time I came, and they prepared my order, came out with the boxes of pizzas and payment terminal, so I paid as usual. Then they hidden the boxes with pizzas on the back, and told me "this payment was for the last time, as last time something went wrong with your payment and in the end the payment was not accepted. Now if you want you new pizza, pay again". My first reaction was confusion, but ok, I checked the bank history on my phone and in fact they were right - last time payment did not go throguth... so I paid again. Zero problem for me.

There were multiple ways how to address the problem, but I think they thought that I will not pay at all and leave, and they would not proove anything, as this was their problem not to check the payment acceptation last time. So they decided to play a game with me, saying that the payment for "these boxes of pizzas that you see now" is now, but then they hiddent them. Joke and circus.

So the way they decided to approach the problem, and came up with the funny game, and the assumption that I am a thieft, is the dumbest dumbest ever.

The worst experience ever!!!!!!! It got a fly inside the pasta, and we told the waiter. He took the plate and keep asking us “are you sure the fly not just fly on it, are you sure?” I mean “ DUDE, look at the fly, it’s burned, did it seem like just fly inside to you???” Then, he just took plate and left and no response to us at all.

When we ask to pay the bill, he give us the check with the whole price of the pasta and he expect we paid of it (more than a half is left over as we immediately stop eating after the fly). We complained about it and the boss just ask us “ are we from China” OMGGGGG, no matter where we from, that is not the reason we should accept this unreasonable thing. I show him the picture of the fly and he took my phone without asking and got inside the kitchen. That’s RUDE!!!!!

After he came out, he said because we ate half of the pasta so we still need to pay half of it. But that is not the point. He threat me by making me admit that the fly is just fly inside. He told us never to go to the restaurant again. I think he even speak foul language in Germany.
