So, we've definitely been going to ready at German places a lot, because I grew up here, and because it can be delicious when there's dedication and quality behind it.
This one, although I don't normally go for Bavarian cuisine, was very good. We were really impressed. I do not like it if food comes out early, not a good sign at all, but this place was not like it. Fresh meals, Maultaschen soup, pork loin with a good balanced mudroom sauce. Not too creamy, not too peppery or too salty. The loin cooked well, not dry. And the Spätzle were buttery. Companion had the super freshly fried bread schnitzel, and it really tasted good, even the potato and cucumber salad. Even the apple strudel was very well made. We loved the attentive service and the cosy and satisfied tummies.
I only wouldn't get started next to big groups, my only minor constructive feedback.
But overall a very nice food experience....
Read moreI was recently traveling in Berlin. May aunt and uncle took me out for lunch at one of their favorite restaurants. This was without a doubt a highlight of my trip.
The menu offers Bavarian dishes. I ordered the pork knuckle dinner and my uncle order a Wiener schnitzel. Both meals were absolutely outstanding!
A tremendous selection of high quality beers made for a perfect meal and a very special desert that is not readily available in most German restaurants.
The atmosphere is off the charts cool, authentic and a throwback to a different town. They have a good size patio as well. I would highly encourage you to find this place and order some of their specialties. Quality, home cooked meal at a reasonable price and incredible portions. It boasts to be one of Berlin’s first German pubs. In highly...

The food was very good. I had schweinshaxe and liver dumpling soup. The soup was clean and didn't have the typical weird smell of organ-based food. Also, the schweinshaxe was crispy on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside.
The servers were very friendly, and they were dressed up in traditional clothes.
The atmosphere was wonderful. Full of cute barbarian items, and happy customers. It made me feel like dining in authentic Germany
