The Vorspeise was served barely warm, and the Hauptspeise followed immediately. We soon discovered the restaurant has a flying insect problem - there was an insect floating in the Apfelschorle, one on the dish underneath the pizza, and several buzzing our table. The staff seemed unconcerned.

Speaking of staff, the waiter had the habit of stepping out the front door for a cigarette, and the smoke came back into the restaurant, directly across our table.

Italian that serves vegetables over pasta

Italian restaurant was recommended by NH Bingen. Disappointment as we received vegetables instead of pasta. My meat was dry and hard so I gave it back and asked for a Spaghetti Bolognese which was good.

My partner was not happy wit her dish but ate it. Hotel said restaurant closes at 23u but around 22u15 we received the bill and were asked to leave with half a bottle of wine left. Friendly people but go early or better go...

27.10.2024 nach 2 schwierigen Pilgertagen mit Standbein in Bingen wollte ich endlich! anständig essen, und folgte einer Empfehlung zum Calimero. Man spricht italienisch und ** man kocht italienisch. ++ Das Lokal war sehr gut besucht, ich glaube viele Wiederholungstäter, was ein gutes Zeichen ist und ist hell und freundlich eingerichtet ++ Ich wurde sofort von einer sympathischen Dame in Empfang genommen und zu einem Tisch geführt ++ Mein Gericht: Bistecca Pizzaiola mit einfachen Nudeln traf genau meinen Geschmack ++ Man hat mir anstandslos mein Hdy aufgeladen, Ein Wanderer ohne HdyMap wäre katastrophal (deshalb kein Foto von meinem Gericht). --- Der angebotenen 2er Tisch befand sich direkt vor der Garderobe auf welche ich während meines Aufenthaltes blicken durfte; ein weiterer 2er Tisch war hinter eine Säule gequetscht. Beides keine agreablen Sitzmöglichkeiten um ein Essen zu geniessen. Warum eine Frau einer allein reisenden Dame das anbietet versteh ich nicht. Das ist mir selten auf meinen Reisen und erst recht nicht in Italien passiert.

Ich war viel zu müde und viel zu hungrig um diesen Tisch zu verweigern, was man ohne Zweifel hätte tun können. Fazit: Ein angenehmes Restaurant in italienischer Hand mit authentischer Cuisine. Nettes und familiäres Ambiente. Ich würde jederzeit wieder dort essen wollen, aber nicht mehr an...
