Bisù Sülz — Restaurant in Cologne

Excellent food. My girlfriend found this place on Google by just zooming in on areas and noticed their high rating. It turned out to be justified. The place was fully booked so reservations were not possible, however they advised us to just turn up as the weather would be nice and they have a nice terrace that doesn’t take reservations. When arriving we were seated straight away (being only two ppl) and the terrace was completely full. We soon discovered what makes them so at ease with welcoming everyone without reservations: The menu consists of Italian “tapa” like dishes, that are served up very swiftly. Don’t let this aspect of food-prep fool you, a lot of effort has been put into these plates. Full of flavour, simple ingredients but balanced in a generous (Italian) way. Options vary from vegetarian to fish to meat. Something for everyone. You mark down the numbers corresponding the dishes on a beer coaster, and then the magic happens. For two we ordered about 6 dishes, desserts excluded. It was enough, but I’m definitely curious about the ones I didn’t get to try now. A side note: the staff are a young and happy crew. When I first stumbled upon this place it was just a day after they officially opened so there were a few hiccups but thats absolutely normal. Yesterday I came back to see if they recognized it and improved, and it was as expected a beautiful evening. Food is creative and tasteful, they play a lot with ingredients and it works wonderfully. If you want a boring meal, then skip this place and go grab a schnitzel or a burger . House rosé absolutely recommend 👌 Service was on spot, very attentive despite the place being full , we felt taken care off and not forgotten so don’t be cheap and tip the wonderful people serving you! The best vegan Italian tapas I've ever had. Vegan in Italian cuisine is somehow not very popular and I'm very happy to have visited this place. Everything is fresh and delicious. We got 6 tapas for two people but we were so full at the end, that we could have ordered 4 or 5 and then see if we wanted more because we didn't have space for dessert. The staff is very friendly which is always a super plus! I highly recommend the gnocchi...
