Amazing food but best of all is the hospitality of the staffs. I am Thai myself so I heard what they talk and how they talk. And I can guarantee they are all kind souls right there in this little kitchen.
The atmosphere is like street food store in Thailand. The food is closed to original Thai food in Thailand. I wouldn't say it's 100% exactly the same because that would be over exaggerated since here you can't get all original ingredients and generally you have to adjust the tastes accordingly to european taste here.
All I can say is that I have been coming here since three years and they never failed me.
I saw a post complaining about vegetarian and vegan. Well, please have a heart. These workers are definitely not youngsters. Some of them are like my grandma ages. And back in asia we have mainly vegetarian, and even varied ones, some eat eggs some don't, some even eat fishes 🤷
If they made an error with your food just communicate with them openly. I'm very sure they would make new correct one for you.
It is quite a first world mentality here, to complain that it's unacceptable that these workers don't know the difference between vegetarian and vegan.
Most of these staffs have spent 90% of their time here in Germany mainly in the kitchen. And back in Thailand, most of them are not even from Bangkok or big cities. So they likely don't know your Veganism ideology from your civilised background.
My ex is Vegan and every time I order him at any asian restaurant, doesn't matter here in Germany or Thailand. I would make sure they understand not to put eggs nor fish sauces nor any oyster sauce in. If at all ask them to make sure to clean the Mortar so there's no trace of leftovers of fish sauce.
I wouldn't just expect them to understand "vegan".
Anyhow, all I can say is this small Thai Imbiss is the best catch you could get around here. There is another branch of Chok Dee in cologne. That one is amazing but quite pricey. Not like Imbiss and workers are...

Read moreSmall, Clean, Thai Imbiss. Staff don't speak much German or English, but are friendly. The menu is pretty extensive and traditional in nature. Our Green papyaya salad was prepared in the traditional way using a pestle and mortar. We also got a coconut curry and chicken stir-fry that was delicious. The tables had the traditional fish'n chili sauce, chili paste, soy and chili flakes. Price was reasonable as well. Only a few table available inside and out, if you...
