Trattoria Perino — Restaurant in Cologne

Tldr: Food is 4, Service 5 - everything good but somethings missing!

I went to the restaurant with my friend in the evening for an early dinner. It was uncomplicated to get a table without reservation and we sat in the wintergarden area of the restaurant. The server approached us and was very kind and helpful.

We chose to eat the following: Carpaccio as starters flat noodle with grilled salmon in tomato cream sauce Scampi in mushroom cream sauce ice creams to finish it off Espresso Ginger Ale and Weizenbier (0%)

The food was good but there was a charm missing to make it exceptional I suppose. For ex: the carpaccio had icecold cheese (Mozzarella) on top of it rather than a few things slices of Parmesan. White sauce had literally only mushroom as flavour (maybe pepper and some white wine could help?), my salmon was swimming in sauce. the sauce was descent but had a tangyness to it- good but not amazing again.

All and all in the everything was good but there was...

Dissatisfaction….we had big expectations as this place is always crowded- especially in nice and warm days. But finally we got a chance to try it and we felt deep dissatisfaction: Pizza was not really a diavola, it had a tomato juice running all over the pizza bread by separating cheese, salami and other toppings. Second dish was over swimming in a very liquid sauce (over usage of oil) they have less people to serve one guy running left and right very fast and nobody cares if you are happy with the food or not because most of the clients visit there for just a cup of coffee and quick ice cream .

I don’t think this worth of second visit unless they pay attention to the food quality, btw the prices are not low at all it’s more...

Ich war heute dort mit meiner Familie .Mein Sohn und ich hatten uns jeder ein Spaghetti-Eis bestellt,welches auf der Karte auf einem großen Glasteller mit Foto angeboten war. Als das Spaghetti-Eis kam musste ich 3x schlucken und war so etwas enttäuscht, wie klein das war,wollte schon fragen ob das ein Kinderspaghetti Eis war.Ich hab's gegessen ,wir waren schnell fertig damit,aber musste es bei der Servierkraft dennoch bemängeln und meine Enttäuschung zum Ausdruck bringen wie klein die Portion war,für 6,50€,da ich es von anderen Eisdielen viel größer kenn.!!!Es wurde in einer ganz kleinen Porzellanschale serviert.!! Also ganz anders als auf dem Bild.Ich war dennoch sehr höflich,habe auch dennoch 1,20€ Trinkgeld gegeben.Habe wenigstens gedacht das da als Entschädigung nochmal 2-3 Eisbällchen für jeden nachgereicht werden.Aber nichts,leider! Somit haben Sie einen Widereinkehrer in Ihrer Eisdiele verloren! 1 Tag später kam die Antwort vom Inhaber, das das Bild vom Eis nur eine Abbildung in der Karte sei. Aber genau deswegen habe ich doch bestellt,und wenn dann das Spaghetti Eis optisch um die Hälfte kleiner ist,kann man sagen,auch nach jetziger Aussage vom Inhaber,das man hier regelrecht verarscht wird.Mit der Ausssge das Sie immer 4 Eisbällchen für Spaghetti Eis nehmen,müsste es Groß genug sein!! Ne Danke nie wieder,wie auch andere Bewerter geschrieben haben.In anderen Eisdielen bekomme ich mein Eis genauso wie...
