Make no mistakes, we are foolish American tourists brashly careening through Bavaria so we are lucky to ever escape the cycle of tourist attractions and obliviously obvious choices that are deliberately placed in our path. This makes us very popular with real Germans. Strangely, fate placed us at Weib's Brauhaus. This was very lucky because the clientele and staff here was of a particular local and post-hardcore quality that was both polite and unconcerned with our dubious status as travelers from a presently disgraced nation. The bier they brew here is wonderful and the food looked like it was prepared with a sincerity and grace that if we were not already so fat we would have devoured with glee. We sampled the house beer while we waited. I ordered Kase spätzle and hubs had a "farmers pan" with various meats, green beans and fried potatoes. Very generous portions and great, hearty food. My only negative comment is that it was so busy and popular that people were doubling up at tables...
