Wow, just WOW..

I will keep this short(ish), the food is absolutely incredible and the ingredients are of the very best quality obviously prepared by a chef or team of chefs with considerable skill, care & attention.

The staff...... Brilliant.

We chose from the steak option and Andre gave us a brilliant un- rushed description of each cut at the meet counter and what to expect (in English).

Everything looked amazing and we chose 3 cuts including Bison!! combined with 2 side orders (Mash with onion/spring onion & Spinach with Peanut butter) and a rather nice bottle of Red wine.

This restaurant is steak heaven and everything we sampled was of the highest standard and quality.

The staff are brilliant and everything happens in a very professional, confident casual un-rushed way.

This is by fare best restaurant that we have had the pleasure the visit in Dortmund.

Do not hesitate, book a table as the experience will be sublime.

Food was mixed, but overall good. The steak (tenderloin) was excellent. Starters were not very good. Sashimi was surprisingly chewy and had very little flavor to it. Grilled veggies were nice, with pickled onions. Desserts are okay.

Service was just not good, and the primary reason I assigned a 3/5. The table was not cleaned properly. Staff, besides the person who appeared to be the manager/owner (who was a nice guy), was cold and quite unfriendly. The staff operates like a fast food chain. The server assigned to our table was inattentive and slow. They charged us 32 EUR too much by, I truly hope a mistake. They corrected this but did not apologize.

If you want a good steak I can recommend this place. If you want a good experience...

Ein rundum nicht gelungener Abend.

Die Tischsituation ist absolut nicht in Ordnung. Die Tische sind so eng gestellt, dass man nicht mal zu seinem Platz auf die Bank kommt und sich wie im Sandwich vorkommt.

Limonade wurde leider verschüttet, zum Glück nicht viel nass geworden - kann passieren. Aber lecker war sie.

Vorspeise Beef Tatar. Definitiv eins der schlechteren. Wirkte sehr lieblos. Viel zu grob geschnitten und kaum angemacht. 3 Kapern haben ihren Weg gefunden. Dazu nur 2 Scheiben Brot, sonst nichts.

Die Steaks sucht man sich an der Fleischtheke aus. Meine Begleitung und ich hatten uns für das Black Angus Entrecote entschieden. Zwei nahezu identische Stücke wurden abgeschnitten (20g Differenz). Wir haben Medium bzw. Medium Rare bestellt. Schwierig finde ich auch, dass man gar keinen Überblick über die Rechnung hat. Der 100g Preis ist zwar ausgeschrieben. Welche Gesamtrechnung einen erwartet, bleibt so auch etwas undurchsichtig.

Bei Servierung des Hauptggangs wurden wir dann überrascht. Das Steak meiner Begleitung war ca. doppelt so dick wie das meine. Auf Nachfrage, ob eine Verwechslung passiert sei, wollte man mich auf den Arm nehmen. "Vielleicht war Ihres länger, weil schräg geschnitten wurde" Klar, vom direkt hintereinander geschnittenen Stück Fleisch. Spätere Erklärung war "Vielleicht hatte Ihres mehr Fett was ausgelaufen ist". Von Medium Rare war es dazu auch noch entfernt. Eher Medium bis Medium Well.

Es war definitiv nicht mein ausgesuchtes Stück Fleisch. Kein Entgegenkommen. Grenzwertiges Verhalten in der Preiskategorie (130€ / 2 Personen ohne Getränke).

Beilagen (Pommes, Rosmarinkartoffeln) waren in Ordnung. Ausgesuchte Saucen okay, aber viel zu wenig.(sehr kleine Schälchen).

Insgesamt wirkte auch alles etwas gehetzt. Die Speisen kamen sehr schnell. In 1 Stunde waren wir quasi fertig. In Kombination mit der Sitzsituation ungemütlich.

Zusammenfassend definitiv keine Wiederholung. Ja, das Fleisch ist in Ordnung. Aber in der Gesamtheit in Bezug auf die Preiskategorie einfach viel zu wenig. Es fehlt absolut etwas besonderes. Da gibt es deutlich bessere Alternativen in...
