Bakery and Cafe Uhlig — Restaurant in Dresden

Nice little bakery with the service to match! I went to order a birthday cake for myself (because you gotta treat yourself), but having just arrived in Germany, my grasp of the language was about as strong as mass produced American beers. However, the lady behind the counter was super patient and worked with me and Google Translate to take my order for a cake, any cake, with chocolate. My work colleagues loved it and told me it was a classic Eierschecke and that I was weird for asking for chocolate in it.

My favorite place in Dresden! It is far from the center of Dresden, but the way to go here is pretty. I love simple taste coffee and yummy bread.
