Restaurant Punjabi Pfanne — Restaurant in Duisburg

Be careful when reading the ratings. Most of the ratings are 5 stars and I suspect they all come from either the restaurant's owner or his relatives. I am just a visitor that loves Indian, Punjabi, Pakistani food and I had the pleasure and the honor to enjoy very good food across the world. When I checked for an Indian restaurant in Duisburg and found 1 restaurant with a 4.9 ratings I was delighted. I convinced my other friends from the UK, the USA and France to join me for the most expected evening. I have to admit that it was not a good choice. For 24 hours I tried to think about what are the good things I could say about Penjabi Pfanne. I have not found one and decided to share my bad experience. Service was terrible, we were placed in the back room and we're forgotten their until we reminded the owner that we are waiting for our food. The quality of food is awesome. The perfect place in Duisburg for Pakistani and Indian food. The price is economical with the variety of products. The menu variety includes both vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. The location is almost 10 minutes walk from Duisburg Hauptbahnhof and you can also reach it from hauptbahnhof Osteingang with buses connection 924 and 926 with stop name Oststraße, from there it is on 2 minutes walk. The location is perfect for sitting inside or outside the resturant. Oststraße have both banks Deutsche Bank and Sparkasse, and also DM and yasmeen shop for meat and other food stuff. Punjabi Pfanne also have All you can eat lunch buffet only on Wednesday's with limited timings from 11:00 till 14:00 (PS: I am not sure with the timings) but that you can confirmed by calling them and making a reservation will be better. Plus staff is co-operative and friendly and they have huge place inside the resturant for parties as well. So it is a must recommended place...

Do not expect a fancy or modern ambience here in this restaurant. The taste of the food was okay. But I can say that they were freshly prepared for us that day. The person who is working there (Waheed) that day was very friendly, kind and have a lot of patience. I have clearly seen that he is very patient about the continuous questions by a customer even though she didnot order anything and left. We have ordered butter naan, tandoori naan, and paneer Karahi. The naans were extremely good. The curry taste was okay. Mango lassi was not so good. I can say you can visit as you donot find restaurants in the afternoon as they were closed surprisingly...
