This restaurant has been here on Himmelgeister Straße for quite a while and has been recommended for it delicious food, friendly service and good portion sizes . It is open for lunch, dinner, banquet services and takeaway. It was recommended by friends who had organised a baby shower here last year. We like our food to be served hot and that it was. The vegetable pakodas and the chicken tikka kabab for appetizers were tasty. We ordered a full mixed kabab platter , paneer kofta and garlic naan for main course with a side of salad and salted lassi. The wait staff were knowledgeable ,prompt and friendly. The owner stopped by to check on our dinner and we were impressed by the quality of great service we received. Gulab Jamun and Mango Lassi was excellent for dessert. It was a great evening with good tasty food and caring service. Highly recommended. Went there based on ratings posted here. Picked up chicken tikka for take away. I would say this place is highly overrated for food taste.

The only good thing is their hospitality and seating ambience. If you want to dine somewhere while listening random indian music, this is the place. I preferred rather picking it from there and listen song of my choice at home.

Now about the food...

Food portion is okay for the price but quality is no where near to Indian taste. May be I expected too much here in Germany but I did not like the taste of chicken tikka masala. Rice was also not well cooked. The chicken tikka was fool of tomato gravy and spices were no where near to chicken tikka. I mean it literally tasted like they have dipped chicken in tomato gravy and put it on stove. They may have put things to adapt German taste buds but I would not call that curry as chicken tikka, at least not...

We went there two weeks ago on Diwali and what an amazing time we had! And we loved it so much, my friends and I have been going almost every week since then. This is the best and the most authentic Indian food I have had in Germany till date. The hosts were very welcoming and they went out of their way to make us feel like home.

We tried the Tandoori platters, two main dishes and the biryani. I would highly recommend their naan/ Indian breads menu. My personal favourite is the Paneer Kulcha and the butter garlic naan. Another star of the night was the hot, yummy and absolutely delicious Gulaab Jamuns 🤌🏼🤤
