Trattoria Valentina — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

A wonderful place. Ideally 4.5 out of 5. But Google does not allow decimal ratings. Went there for two consecutive nights because the first night exploration demanded the second visit. Starters, main course and desserts, all tasted nice and their dishes had exclusivity. The quality of cheese and ingredients are evident. The seating has enough distance between tables, which provides enough privacy to conversations. I am surprised they don't have a separate wine menu nor many varieties of wine. Would have loved to see.more Italian wines. If you want Italian food, you can blindly walk in.

Correction to my comment above after the remarks from the owner the same day as my review, which confirmed that they did have a separate wine life. Might be the waiter did not understand my request for the list as he was not...

This is average restaurant, looking very fancy but food is a little trap…

Local is quite nice inside, looks rich and distinguish.

Service unfortunately this is big minus, I have ordered Sprite but received Coca Cola, colleagues ordered Franziskaner beer but they received Paulaner - for me not acceptable.

Food - I have ordered pizza Luca Diavolo which was just average. There was nothing special in it, the pizza base was slightly burnt and hard to cut, souse was also quite average, so totally not worth such money. My friend ordered pasta and it was also average, not so much tase, almost no garlic in it.

In my opinion this is not so good restaurant as you can see...

Die Trattoria Valentina wirkt wie ein Lieferservice mit einigen Sitzplätzen.

Die Speisekarte verfügt über eine ausreichende Auswahl an Pizza- und Pastasorten. Sonst übliche, italienische Speisen, wie Saltimbocca oder andere Fleischgerichte findet man nicht.

Wir waren an einem Samstagabend zu Besuch und wir haben auch ohne Reservierung noch einen Platz für 4 Personen bekommen.

Ich wählte als Vorspeise das Carpaccio und als Hauptgang eine Pizza mit Parmaschinken und Rucola. Geschmacklich waren beide Sachen gut.

Leider konnten einige Getränke, die auf der Karte waren, nicht serviert werden. Es gab weder Aperol-Spritz noch Limoncello-Spritz. Auch gab es lediglich eine Sorte Weiß- und Rotwein. Bei der Getränkeauswahl ist auf jeden Fall noch Platz nach oben.

Ein Kollege kam noch nach und angeblich gab es bereits 15 Minuten vor Küchenschluss keine Pizza mehr, sondern nur noch Pastagerichte. Ihm wurde dann auch das Dessert vor dem Hauptgang serviert, während er noch nicht mal die Vorspeise aufgegessen hatte. Die Hauptspeise kam dann kurz danach. Auch da war die Vorspeise noch nicht verzehrt. Das wirkte dann wie Massenabfertigung.

Wenn man die Trattoria Valentina als Lieferservice mit Sitzgelegenheiten sieht, dann werden die Erwartungen voll erfüllt. Gute Pizza und Paste zu ansprechenden Preisen. Wer sich auf einen gemütlichen Abend beim Italiener einstellt, sollte hier nicht...
