Sabo Restaurant in Düsseldorf is a fantastic spot for Turkish fine dining. Located at Grunerstr. 42A, this restaurant offers a modern take on traditional Turkish cuisine, using fresh and high-quality ingredients ¹. Their menu features a variety of dishes, including *Ali Nazik*, a traditional Turkish delight made with grilled lamb filet strips, eggplant puree, yogurt, and garlic (€30) ¹. Other popular options include *Beyti Kebap*, a grilled lamb skewer wrapped in bread on yogurt with grilled tomatoes and peppers (€27), and *Antrikot 270g*, a grilled entrecôte with vegetables and potatoes (€37) ¹. Sabo Restaurant has received excellent reviews, with an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars on TripAdvisor ². Reviewers praise the restaurant's delicious food, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere. We had a delightful evening at SABO. The owner is extremely friendly, warm and welcoming, the staff is nice. The food - we all had soup and fish - was delicious. Although it's a Turkish restaurant, it does not look and feel like a regular Turkish restaurant. It's much more chic and elegant, very stylish... What we also liked was the volume of the music. It was on the background, which made talking with each other pleasant. We only had an issue with find a parking spot, but other than that, all was great. Can recommend!

Absolutely one of the best experiences I've had in my life. The restaurant has a high class feeling, a very devoted owner that did an amazing job at taking care of the customers, giving a closer look at the fresh seafood and always cheerful. The food - splendid. It was prepared really quickly as well! Overall, now I have a new go-to location in Dusseldorf and definitely recommend trying it out!

They are just fraud people. It was really very bad experience going there. First of all when we entered one person came to us and asked us do you have reservation? We didnt and said NO. They even let us sit and say if you leave within one hour you can sit I asked if all the tables are reseved? He said yes but no problem if you want you can sit longer. Its strange. We sat and 2-3 people were coming to us every 5 min and one man was like watching us all the time came to us 3 times asking what would you oder? We ordered 2 dishes one from lamb and one from chicken in the main course and one sea food in starter. He took the oder and went. Then he comes again and started suggested about one more dish from starter. “Plz try this its very tasty” its my choice. My husband is really nice man he said yes to him. Then he served us with two starters when we always wanted to have one. OK no problem. When main course was served one was lamb and other was kalb fleisch then I asked them its not chicken. He said no one of them is chicken I said no none of them is chicken. He went back and checked and came back oh no no please it was not chicken but its ok you can eat that we are bringing chicken in 10 min (i thought like cz its their mistake so he is offering me to eat that for free and will bring chicken also) he brought chicken dish after 15 min.I dont like kalb so it was eaten by my husband. One old man was always watching us eating and coming to us again and again every 5 min. We felt really uncomfortable eating. I dont think its really normal bein german in german restaurants. Then comes bill. It was like more what we expected and they add every charges for their mistaken and forceful dish to us. We payed that. Ok paying money is not a problem but we felt like its not really fine to be not honest what they are saying. So will never go to that retaurant again. And I will alert you people if you go say straightforward NO to any extra offer they make and any mistake they do. Cz they make mistake not mistakenly but...

My wife and I went there for our anniversary. The owner/chef there was very inviting and warm hearted. The hospitality was through the roof. He had calmly explained on the telephone before booking as to what the dishes were and how they will be prepared and how much they cost beforehand. He decked a table for us on the corner so that we would be having one of the best spots for our anniversary. He took care of us personally along with our waiter who waited us with a warm and loving smile. The entire experience was a bliss. Now onto the food. We had already gave him a list of the dishes that we wanted. First started with complimentary bread which was honestly well baked and hot. Served with fresh olives and oliveoil. It was a good dish to start with. Then came the calamari which was fried with batter. The fry was crisp and the taste of the calamari was also fresh. The taste of the sauce was also good with a hint of balsamico which was a nice addition. 7/10 Onto the next dish was the spicy prawn / garlic prawn - just one word to describe it ---"wow" it was heavenly. 11/10 The next dish was scallops which were also cooked to perfection and was so soft that practically melted in our mouth 8/10 The main dish was the fish what was deboned in front of us giving an aura of show and pomp and elevating our experience. Since it's a personal preference I can only say that it would have been perfect if it was lightly more salted ... But hey thats my taste profile--- 8/10 The dessert we chose and was also recommended was the kunafa (hope I wrote it correctly) which was honestly the best way to end the perfect night out. 10/10 The total cost was around 160 euros along with 2 rose glasses and 2 white beer. To say that it was a nice night out is really an understatement. Would recommend and if possible visit it again with my friends and family. Thank you sabo for making our anniversary...

Our first time visit exceeded our expectations. The reception was very warm and the service was excellent. The food was very delicious. We have found our favourite restaurant

Second visit 08/12 When we entered we asked for to sit on the balcony which was totally empty. We were told that it is reserved for the coming hours. But until we left 2 hours later there were no one sitting theres. Once we entered we were basically jumped on by the waiter pushing us for ordering one of their fresh fish on display, and generally hurried us to order. Interestingly, during the whole of our stay the restaurant was empty with the exception of ourselves and one lady eating alone. I ordered the fish (one of those on display), assuming that it would be in the same price range as on the menu. It turned out that it was much more expensive. Needless to write that the over-pricing was the theme of the day. In the end, the total was over 200 Euros for 3 adults and one child, which is about 50% higher than when we were in the same restaurant last year, at about the same time.

This restaurant will definitely be avoided next time...
