After five years, here's an UPDATE: we went out to eat with #Littlefeet and #Bigfoot at Oomes Hüs again these days. It was #Littlefeet's birthday and he was congratulated as soon as we arrived. Service very friendly and clear, prices a little more expensive, but this is now the case all over the island. Costs are rising overall, so cooking cannot be excluded. The food was very tasty. After a greeting from the kitchen, the main course arrived. The plaice Müllerin style with salad and boiled potatoes was good, although the lemons could have been a little fresher. The other dishes also tasted great, whether it was the children's steak, the potato pancakes or the beef goulash. Unfortunately, as we discovered afterwards, the salad was forgotten here. But there are worse things. The drinks were absolutely ok. As Munich locals, we are delighted that the beer is a pale ale from near Munich. What's more, the Ayinger is on tap and quenches our thirst after a long day at the beach or a long bike ride. The service was very nice and friendly, especially towards the children. Overall, we always enjoy coming here. The ambience is Nordic and very woody, yet modern. One more thing: it is made clear here that the restaurant and its hosts and crew are absolutely and clearly against racism. Very good! Absolute recommendation!

We had a great time on our first visit. The food was rather expensive, but my steak was cooked well and tasty. The pan fried potatoes were not crispy, but good. Portion sizes were rather small. One of the main arguments to return the next day was the daily menu, which we realized did not change at all. The Creme Catalan's apparently failed twice in a row, and the welcoming dish from the kitchen was a basic tomato soup. Besides that we were also seated next to the bar/kitchen and got a reservation rather late, 20:15. The area was very noisy and felt rushed When asked by one of us to decide their main dish after a soup, we were told we had to order main dishes now, as the kitchen was closing soon. The waiter seemed to be very stressed and it appeared to me that they wanted to get service finished. If the time until closing is not enough, I suggest not to offer reservations that late. Furthermore, for the "failed Creme Catalana", the strawberry sauce was forgotten on both days. The fish I ordered was also slightly overcooked, but not enough for me to send it back. The pasta was tasty. All in all the second day was very disappointing compared to the first and I was left worrying if we could even order desserts after our main dish. I would not return that quickly there.

We were six of us there for dinner during the week and getting a table reservation wasn't a problem, although it was only available on two days at 17:30. So booking a table well in advance will surely help as the restaurant is fully booked on most days. The service was friendly and quick. We got little bit of pumpkin soup as "greetings from the kitchen" which was a nice gesture. I had ordered Goulash for myself which came with a salad and boiled potatoes. To my surprise the Goulash itself had almost no taste and lacked proper seasoning. Even after adding salt it didn't improve much. I did taste the food of others and they were better than mine. Hence, it is possible that something went wrong with the my food. The portion sizes could have been better though.
