Very good value for your money. A place where you can meet and eat with locals, which I always see as a good indicator for a great restaurant. The choices may be not as manifold as some other places, but here at Maucher’s you’ll get great tasting, authentic local dishes for example. Heavily recommended to escape the tourist burdened restaurants in the vicinity of Neuschwanstein.

Read moreThe personnel was unfriendly and unwelcoming. The worst part was the smell, we came out smelling like a roast and had to hang our clothes and coats out overnight to get rid of the smell. Drinks were ok, the food was also ok but not impressive. However, Everything was regional and fresh (not always delicious though). Prices are acceptable. The decor was classical and cosy but in the small room it was too loud with 80% capacity.

We had the cheese soup which gets 5 stars, Feldsalat that gets 4 stars, Kraut wickel 5 stars - just like grandma did them, Schweinefilet with Sherry sauce and mushrooms and spinach dumpling get also 5 stars this was sooo good.
