Great service. Epic food. Friendly staff.

This has to be one of my highlights of Fussen. I went here for a quick lunch and ordered the Currywerst and chips. This was a giant sausage in curry sauce and chips and was reasonably priced. I saw someone order a giant Schnitzel and asked was told it was the Bayerisch schnitzel, so I had to go back and try it!

The next day we decided to have a big lunch before we set out on a hike, and that’s exactly what we got! The Bayerisch schnitzel was a huge schnitzel with a layer of ham, and topped with cheese and crispy onions, and finally two fried eggs. This was all on a bed of potatoes. Truly amazing. We weren’t able to finish it and the friendly waitress with this in a takeaway container for us.

We also decided to try the Cola Beer which is an unusual mix of Cola and wheat beer. Unusual but worth a try.

This place is a full-on experience! I had the 600g steak with fries, herb butter, and an amazing pepper sauce — the meat was juicy, perfectly cooked to my liking, and the fries were crispy and golden. The sauce brought everything together like magic, no shortcuts on flavor here. And then… the atmosphere: they were playing The Lord of the Rings soundtracks the whole time, making me feel like I was dining somewhere in Middle-earth, right alongside Aragorn. Special shoutout to our waiter — a super funny 26-year-old guy who made the whole evening even better with his jokes and relaxed vibe. Fast, friendly, and genuinely made us feel welcome. If you ever find yourself in Füssen and want a meal that’s unforgettable for both your taste buds and your soul, SchnitzelHaus is a total must-visit.

Nicely located in a small alley. there were no more seats inside and decided to stay outside. Weather was ok but a bit cold (May 29th) ... We had to wait 1 hour although the restaurant was not packed. At no time did the waiter ask if we wanted to come inside but arriving customers managed to move inside while others were leaving. It really felt as if the priority order was biased in favor of other customers. waiter was sorry in the end and explained the # of people was the reason, but our order of 2 dishes did not really explain such waiting. We'll never know why ... but waste of time +...
