The place has a very vibrant atmosphere, very much recommended for dates or friends or family meetups. They serve good hot beverages like a variety of coffee and tea. Also serves a lot of variety of cakes which tastes amazing along with sandwiches, falafel, salads. The only disappointment was with the waiters where some of them were unfriendly. And need to wait to get a response for them , when they are busy at least expect a smile and say shortly please or something nice. But they ignore and ignore also while we were requesting for a nicer place to sit when the places were available they are not responding friendly.. other than that a must recommend place to visit.

The atmosphere in the cafe is nice, the food could be worked on and the staff could be trained. Shakshuka was just okay, nothing special. The lemonade was pretty low value for money. Although the taste was natural, I expected it to be more flavourful. The staff does not care about the visitors that much so when they brought us 3 plain shakshukas instead of shakshukas with meat they did not even apologise. Same goes with coffee - they made cappuccino instead of flat white and the coffee was not great

The place looks nice, the ambient of the place wants to give a friendly and cosy vibe. Unfortunately the people who work there don't seem to get that. Our food never came and when we asked for the bill, which included the food, the waitress refused to deduct the food, getting all technical with 15mins within order period bla bla bla. Trust me, as I was with my kids and we ordered cakes as well (and taking pictures with date stamp), it was close to 30 minutes that we haven't received our food. The fact that they NOT ONCE apologised for being late and simply forgot our order but were discussing about timelines and technicalities has put me off ever to set foot there. However, the cakes my kids had were delicious and they enjoyed them very much. My tip: keep reminding them that you have ordered food because they did come twice to ask if all is fine but never noticed that they haven't brought the food out yet. I just never had to remind staff that I I have ordered something. But there's always a first. Thankfully there are lots of other places with fantastic cakes and better services. Unser Essen kam nie und als wir nach der Rechnung fragten, die das Essen enthielt, weigerte sich die Kellnerin, das Essen abzuziehen, und wurde ganz technisch mit 15 Minuten innerhalb der Bestellannahme bla bla bla. Glaub mir, da ich mit meinen Kindern war und wir auch Kuchen bestellt haben (und Fotos mit Datumsstempel gemacht haben), war es fast 30 Minuten, dass wir unser Essen nicht bekommen haben. Die Tatsache, dass sie (unsere Kellnerin und die Schicht-Leiterin) sich KEIN EINZIGES MAL für die Verspätung entschuldigt haben bzw. einfach unsere Bestellung vergessen haben (was ok wäre, wenn man so was zugibt), sondern über Fristen und Formalitäten diskutiert haben, hat mich davon abgehalten, jemals einen Fuß dorthin zu setzen. Die Kuchen, die meine Kinder gegessen haben, waren jedoch lecker und haben ihnen sehr gut geschmeckt. Mein Tipp: Immer wieder daran erinnern, dass man Essen bestellt hat, denn sie kamen zweimal, um zu fragen, ob alles in Ordnung ist, haben aber nicht bemerkt, dass sie das Essen noch nicht herausgebracht haben. Ich musste, normalerweise, das Personal noch nie daran erinnern, dass ich etwas bestellt habe. Aber es gibt immer ein erstes Mal. Zum Glück gibt es viele andere Orte mit fantastischen Torten & Kuchen und besserem Service.

So beautiful place. Staff its super friendly and nice, they have got a big smile for you and always try to make you comfy. The place its beautiful. And the food its something else. Flavours inspired in the marrokanisch kitchen. You can enjoy too those tasty homemade cakes. A place that you will be back thousands times. So close to U-bah 4 Bornheim Mitte. With exterior terrace.

I really love their brunch and breakfast selections, in addition they have a great variety of cakes - love their cheese cake and blueberry coco Torte. Usually 15-20mins waiting time during weekend busy hours. Maybe only one downside is that the toilet temperature is 15 degree lower than the restaurant in winter… not big deal tho.

Das Café Picknick liegt direkt an der Bergerstr in Bornheim , UBahn Haltestelle Bornheim Mitte dort wo Mittwochs und Samstags der Wochenmarkt stattfindet. Es ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und es gibt viele freundliche Bedienungen . Die Karte ist groß und es gibt sehr viel Auswahl. Wir hatten drei verschiedene Gerichte und alles hat gut geschmeckt. Beim Blick in die Kuchentheke konnte man eine große Auswahl feststellen . Veganer und Vegetarier finden hier viele Angebote in der Karte .Vor dem Café gibt es etliche Tische mit Stühlen und Bänken zum gemütlichen Sitzen , eine breite Rampe befindet sich am Zugang . Einzig die Toilette im Keller,ist nur über eine dunkle Treppe zu erreichen . Wie überall in Bornheim ist es schwierig einen Parkplatz zu finden. Möchte man sicher einen Tisch, sollte man reservieren .
