Disappointing Experience: Not Worth the Hype My other half and I had high hopes for a memorable evening at Platz im Herzen, but unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. From start to finish, we were left feeling frustrated and let down. First and foremost, our reservation was for 19:15 , yet we ended up waiting for an entire hour before being seated. While we understand minor delays, waiting for an hour without any explanation or compensation is simply unacceptable. Moreover, despite the lengthy wait, there was no effort made to make amends for the inconvenience caused. In other establishments, a delay of this magnitude would warrant at least a gesture of goodwill, such as complimentary drinks, but here, we were left empty-handed. Furthermore, last night held special significance for us, as it was my birthday and the night I proposed to my partner. We had hoped for a memorable celebration, but instead, we were met with prolonged delays in both food and drink service, leaving us feeling disappointed and disheartened. when my spouse provided a small cake for the occasion, the staff failed to even bring a plate, serving it with just a knife and fork. This lack of attention to detail only further underscored the disappointing nature of our experience. While the quality of the food was passable, it certainly did not justify the exorbitant prices charged. For the amount we paid, we expected nothing short of excellence, but what we received was far from it. In conclusion, if you're looking for a truly memorable dining experience, I would strongly advise against choosing Platz im Herzen . I was there (different location) the first time 4 years ago. There it was awesome. Now.....: Two women were fit at service but the rest didnt care about the guests. The ambiente is ok but for people who want to speak with each other the music is definetly too loud. The decoration is ok and special. We ordered drinks and three of four came after 20 minutes. The lady didnt know what kind of beer she brought (we´ve ordered one with and one without alcohol). She just said:" I cant tell." She took it away and we didnt saw her and the two missing beers again, until we ordered the food. We had two starters. First was Haloumi and sucuk with cheese and it was good. The second one was cheese Köfte. This one was swimming in so much oil that wasnt tasty anymore. For main course we ordered all three kinds of beef filet and one time salmon. Side dishes were cheese gnocchis, garlic bread and grilled vegetables. We coulndt even finish our starters before they brought the main dishes already. The way of serving the food is more show and less hygienic. The first brought food was getting cold already because of all the molecular show stuff. Also they asked if we want salt and pepper. But they didnt leave it with us, they put it uncontrolled on top of everything. So we couldnt taste it with the real flavour and decide for ourselves.

The cheese gnocchi were quiet good, the herb butter too. The steaks were like we´ve ordered them and had good quality.

I am rating this place with one star due to the fact that we got lied straight into our face when we asked them something about the check which seemed off to us, the too high price quality ratio and the uncomfortable seating situation...

It all started with us needing to wait for at least 40 minutes to be seated eventhough we had booked a table. So after waiting in the corridor next to the kitchen and chatting with the staff, we had made the deal with (I believe) the person in charge that dessert will be on the house. However, when they gave us the check they put the 2 desserts we ordered (we were a party of 5, so two desserts shouldn't be a big deal as a compensation) on it, but named them "diverse item". We asked the aforementioned person for an explanation since we were confused. He however, just said:"I don't know what the waiter put on there but it's not the desserts".. (he tried to make excuses..) we did not ask for our money back or anything, like why cause a scene - it didn't seem worth it.

Another funny thing was that they seated two woman next to us, like at our table and made us move around so those ladies had space to sit at our table. The two women were annoyed since they had as well booked a table and didn't understand why they had to sit next to strangers..
