Zum Adler — Restaurant in Frankfurt

If this is considered 4 or even 5 stars, then McDonalds is a 7-star restaurant. I am usually very benevolent and this was not my first time at this restaurant, but most likely the last time. We had ordered the Zander fish menu (nr. 308 for 17,50€) with salty potatoes, garlic and spinach, as well as the Jägerschnitzel (chicken), with rice and some fries. The food came super fast (15 mins), which is not always a good sign. The fish dish looked very pitiful, the two slices of Zander filet were over grilled with dark spots and very very tiny. The spinach was not salted at all and everything tasted without any real taste. The Jägerschnitzel sauce was a non-typical sweet-sour sauce, most likely something to just stir with water and the meat was tasteless as well. The fries were tasteless and looked like the frozen ones you buy at the grocery market. All in all it was a super disappointing experience - especially considering that the Zander fish menu costs 17,50€ and we left still hungry and disappointed. The service was quick - that's why I gave them 3 stars. I am not sure whether there is someone else managing this restaurant, but I highly advise to improve...

Having visited for a second time along with friends, we had a good dinner, and the food arrived within a reasonable time. It was well cooked and as described on the menu. The reason I have scored you low is for the customer service provided. At the end of our meal, we asked one of the staff members who appeared to be the supervisor, to book a table for another day. We asked if it would be possible to reserve a particular table for a particular time on a Sunday, as it was for a special occasion. In a very laid-back manner, he just said "no, it's not possible, I can't do that". Then we asked if he could at least put a "reserved" sign on the table, and in a rude manner he said "no, I can not do that". Any of our requests were answered with a "No, I can't do that". In any restaurant in most places and countries, if you make a request to book a table in advance, they would usually put a reserved sign on it. 2x innerhalb von 2 Wochen vor Ort gewesen, das 1. Mal Tisch für 9 Person reserviert für mittwochs um 15:30 h, einen Tisch mit 6 gedeckten Plätzen erhalten mit der Aussage ha passt schon, es wurde dann aber nach unserer Reklamation ein Tisch frei allerdings auch nur für 8 Personen. Um 19:30 wurden wir gebeten zu bezahlen und zu gehen weil der uns zugeteilte Tisch ab 20 h wieder neu reserviert wurde. UNDING !!! Essen war ok, leider konnte der Kellner beim servieren keine Cola von Cola Zero unterscheiden. Beim 2.Mal am 27.4. für 18:30h einen Tisch für 9 Personen 14 Tage vorher reserviert, was bekommt man, einenTisch für 8 Personen, Gott sei Dank war eine Person krank, also Glück gehabt. Kam mir seeeehr bekannt vor. Essen bestellt, kam in Etappen, immer mit der Frage, ist das hier für diesen Tisch. Normalerweise bekommt eine Gesellschaft an einem Tisch alle Gerichte ziemlich gleichzeitig. Dort wird es wohl anders gehandhabt. Nachdem 6 Personen schon fast fertig gegessen hatten kam dann nach meiner Nachfrage doch tatsächlich noch Essen 7 und 8, mein Essen habe ich direkt zurückgegeben, weil das Hackfleisch roh war. Es kam nicht mal eine Entschuldigung und auf meine mittlerweile schlechte Laune wurde einfach nicht reagiert. Auf eine 2. bestellte Fertigsosse zum Paprikaschnitzel wartet man auch 15 Minuten, das Schnitzel und die Beilage natürlich mittlerweile kalt, und ohne erneute Reklamation wäre die Sosse bis jetzt noch nicht da. Das Lokal war sowohl draussen als auch drinnen sehr gut besucht, aber diese Situation sind die Inhaber doch gewöhnt und ist für mich auch keine Entschuldigung für das schlechte Gesamtergebnis. Also 2x in kurzer Zeit ziemlich reingefallen und enttäuscht worden, kommt einem so vor als hätten die Besitzer es nicht nötig und sie sich auf der seit Jahren hohen Besucherzahl ausruhen können Wenn man sich mit anderen unterhält sind wir nicht die einzigen denen es dort genauso ergangen ist.
