Mai Wok & Sushi — Restaurant in Freiburg im Breisgau

Food: Tasty and they mantained the consistency. Especiially given how most of sushi restaurants in the city decreased their sushi quality. Nothing too fancy, nothing bad. You just a get nice and fine sushi on your plate.

Price: Prices are a bit on the higher end, although competitive with other sushi places with same food quality. Drinks are super expensive though.

Payment: This really is something bad. ONlY CASH!!! How is it possible to be like this, especially when the prices are not cheap. Its not one of the road side kiosks, its a proper restaurant. So card payment is given, but no, its ONLY CASH. please remember to bring enough cash with you.

Delivery: We also order sushi, and until now they are one of the best sushis if you wanna get...

We ordered menu for two persons which includes soup, 8 sake rolls, 8 sake inside outside, 8 kani rolls, 6 sake maki, and so on. I paid 35€. But what we received was less than what has been written in the menu. At the beginning we didn't notice the missing parts. Later I contacted the restaurant and the guy told me thst we sent it completely and we have many customers who are always satisfied. At the end he suggested to take photo before starting to eat the food.!!! I gave two stars because of their disrespectful behavior. Indeed I will not order again because they don't serve what they advertise and they don't respect...

Als wir das Restaurant betraten, bat uns ein Kellner sofort einen Tisch an. Dem Chef kam das wohl ungelegen, er grummelte unfreundlich etwas unverständliches in unsere Richtung und für 20 Minuten warteten wir, um bestellen zu "dürfen". Bei der Bestellung war der Mann schon so unfreundlich, dass ich bereits überlegt hatte zu gehen. Es verging eine halbe Stunde, ohne dass etwas zu trinken oder zu essen kam. Auf einen freundlichen Hinweis reagierte man gereizt und rechtfertigte sich. Kein Wort der Entschuldigung. Das Essen kam nach weiteren 30 min und war ganz gut, aber nichts besonderes. Zwei andere Tische kamen nach uns, bestellen vor uns und wurden vor uns bedient (lag wohl an einer anderen weiblichen zuvorkommenden Bedienung). Wir bestellen S9 und bekamen nicht das, was wir erwartet hatten. Man verwies dabei auf eine zweite andere Karte. Um uns herum waren alle sehr genervt und versuchten die Bedienungen anzusprechen. Vor allem der Chef reagierte dabei sehr unfreundlich und genervt. Beim Abkassieren gab er sich dann Mühe ("War alles recht?"), aber auf einen Hinweis zur Wartezeit reagierte er uneinsichtig und patzig. Zum Ende gabs noch eine Ladung Glückskekse, ganz toll. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen und wie hier mit Kunden umgegangen wird einfach nur...
