Angus Club Steaks & Burgers — Restaurant in Friedberg

I was initially seated alone in a section of the restaurant isolated from the other tables and overlooking the swimming pool (the restaurant is in the city sports hall). But they were playing techo pop so loud that I had to ask to be moved. Back in the main dining room I was seated again alone at a table for 12. Not gemütlich. No table cloths, drinks served in Mason jars, and still the techno pop. I ordered a dry aged burger rare on a brioche bun with fries. What could go wrong? Well the burger arrived as advertised with microgreens, caramelized onions, and some type of gloopy mayonnaise based sauce. Not good. The burger was a mess. And if the beef was dry aged you never would gave known it since you could NOT taste the beef. I am a bit of a purist when it comes to burgers. If you have a quality product you should let the beef shine though. Maybe a slice of cheese, Bermuda onion, and a dill pickle on the side. The Angus club burger was not something I would ever order again. When I asked the cashier why they took what were ostensibly quality ingredients and then turned them into a gloppy mess, she just said "We Bavarians like our sauce." Service was friendly enough, but I would not call this "fine dining". And the prices would have been high even in NYC. For example, the Peter Luger Burger is less expensive. Steaks did not look great either, smallish and overdone. The fries were good, but no ketchup whasoever (I asked). All they had were these really weird tasting Irish steak sauces. It was terrible. We had to wait longer than 1 hour for our orders, but what a disappointment! Filet costs €34 and was dry and terrible, didn't taste even remotely good. Even the fries were served after the meat. Every other table in the restaurant were served before us even though they were seated much later than us. When we complained to the staff, they explained the situation that our orders had to be grilled about 30 minutes long, even though we have ordered rare or medium. wir waren Anfang Dez. 18 in eurer Lokalität, gegessen habe ich Beef Rib vom Rind für 28,50. wenn SOUS-VIDE gegart so schmeckt dann bitte nie mehr. Das Fleisch war faserig, eigentlich hat es wie in Wasser zerkocht und ohne würze geschmeckt und anschließend kurz angegrillt. Auf die Frage der Bedienung ob alles passt, frug ich ob ich Knobloch haben könnte. Für meine persönliche Geschmacksbereicherung. Knoblauch? wie Knoblauch? ja Knoblauch, vielleicht gehackt in Olivenöl, mit etwas salz in einem Schälchen. oder auch ganz einfach als Zehe. zur Antwort bekam ich: Ähh, da muss ich in der Küche mal nachfragen. Ok. gekommen ist sie nicht mehr. nach 10 Minuten die gleiche frage einer anderen service kraft. passt alles an ihrem Tisch. die gleiche Bitte meinerseits, hätten Sie vielleicht etwas Knobloch für mich? Knoblauch? Ähh, Moment da muss ich in der Küche nachfragen. gekommen ist er dann auch nicht mehr. Erst bei der dritten anfrage ob alles passt kam die Antwort, Knoblauch? haben wir nicht. ok. jetzt meine frage an euch, wie macht ihr eigentlich Knoblauch Baguette? kommt das eingefroren aus der tüte? ich will ja nicht oberpingelig sein aber ein steakhaus ohne frischen Knoblauch, geht gar nicht, zumal das Fleisch zerkocht war. Der nächste Punkt war, es ist keinem eurer service Kräfte aufgefallen, selbst nach 1 1/2 h Beendigung des Essens, endlich den Tisch von gebrauchten Geschirr abzuräumen. die Bestellung meiner Frau nach einem Dessert wurde einfach vergessen. ich habe mir das mehrmalige ansprechen nach einem Dessert erspart. da es eine Einladung zur Weihnachtsfeier war hoffe ich dass das Dessert nicht auch noch verrechnet wurde ohne es serviert zu haben.
