Gold in Goldbach When we first drove by, I noticed the stained glass windows of the building and the inviting decorations surrounding it. We decided to walk back after checking into our hotel and at first thought we stumbled into the wrong place because we heard a choir singing when we walked in. There was an unassuming door on the second floor marked “restaurant” and when we hesitantly opened it were welcomed into a cozy environment thronged with people and festooned with holiday decor. We sat at the bar and immediately made friends with Sandra and NiNi and the chef popped out and offered us Schnapps. The place is very nice and cosy, very shady and has a rustic vibe, the ladies attending the customers are very kind and ready to help with info about the dishes and drinks, But it is the food that was outstanding, especially the Dakota fillet steak with the creamy peppercorn sauce(best one i've had), the salads were nice and fresh. i absolutely recommend the place and we'll definitely come back when...

Viele Jahre war der Adler mein Lieblingsrestaurant. Gutes Essen und nette Bedienung. Letzte Woche Donnerstag war allerdings mein letzter Besuch. Ich war mit einer Freundin gegen 18 Uhr im Biergarten. Da wir beide keine großen Fleischesser sind haben wir uns zusammen ein Lendenpfännchen (25 €) und dazu noch einen Beilagensalat bestellt. Obwohl wir das erklärt haben, kam kein zweiter Teller auf den Tisch. Auf meine Nachfrage wurde mir erklärt, dass wir einen zweiten Teller bezahlen müssten. Eine von uns könne ja aber auch aus der Pfanne essen. Ich habe es erstmal als Scherz aufgefasst, musste aber feststellen, dass dem nicht so ist. Ich bin empört und habe mich auch mit der Servicekraft auseinandergesetzt. Sie sah aber meine Meinung überhaupt nicht ein. Behandelt man so Gäste?
