A restaurant with the most magical view. However, the service did not reach the same level. We were a larger group where we spread out on four tables. One of the tables had fantastic service and was happy but the rest of us who sat at another part of the restaurant experienced the exact opposite.
I will not go here again. It was an unpleasant atmosphere from the start even though I tried to lighten the mood with positive comments about the fantastic environment.
At one of the tables we also had a very hard time getting okay to change tables when we got cigarette smoke from the guests sitting next to us. Everything was cumbersome and the guest's mood was not in focus. We were rather inconvenienced.
At another table we had to wait for over half an hour to pay even though we asked for the bill several times (in a friendly way). We were almost missing our train and had to "chase the bill" and get "annoyed" to get the attention. When we asked for the bill from another waiter (also in a friendly way when we were about to miss the train) we got the answer: "you are not the only guests here". Unpleasant attitude. There were empty tables and many waiters. It was a shame, they almost ruin the amazing feeling you got from the environment.
I would recommend trying another restaurant in the area! They are not service minded and don’t respect their guests. You don’t feel welcome even if you are kind to them. Wouldn’t it be for the environment they wouldn’t...
Read moreFood was excellent but the service was abysmal. We were sitting on the terrace under the retractable roof when it slowly started to rain. Many that sat under no roof started to move inside. The rain increased in intensity and all of a sudden the waiter started retracting the roof and when questioned said that it was only for sun.
We take our plates and go inside but there are now no tables available. We ask a waiter for help and get the answer 'I can't help you, it's your problem'. Another waiter rudly asks us to move because she thinks we are in the way. We had to finish our meals standing in a corner, very awkwardly.
The thing is that the waiters should have asked us to move inside as soon as it started to rain. Instead they let a stream of new customers take all the available spots before pulling the roof on the existing guests.
When paying the bill I pointed all this out to the waiter but he had no interest in my critique. I asked to get a price deduction but was told we paid for the food which we got. Along with the food came rude personnel and bad customer service, something we could have done without.
I guess a place like this can treat the customer how they want as there is no other restaurant nearby. Luckily we will not come...
Read moreDuring my recent visit to a restaurant nestled in a breathtaking location, I was greeted by some of the most spectacular views I've ever encountered while dining out. The setting was truly mesmerising, with a sunny day illuminating the scenery, even though the clouds obscured the mountain peak. The lake view, paired with the occasional burst of sunshine, was a highlight of the experience.
However, when it comes to the food, my experience was somewhat underwhelming. While the meals were satisfactory, they didn't leave a lasting impression. This establishment seems to fit the mould of a tourist trap, where the stunning setting compensates for the lack of culinary excellence.
The apple strudel disappointed, as it was average at best; however, the white sausages were a pleasant surprise and stood out as particularly enjoyable. The restaurant offers plenty of parking, but do bear in mind that there is a fee to park.
In conclusion, I would rate my experience as good overall, predominantly because of the unparalleled views. The food, unfortunately, didn't match up to the scenery. This restaurant is worth a visit for the location.
