Buddha Kitchen — Restaurant in Hamburg

I ordered a Pho Bo for take away and literally got a cup of instant pho still in it’s original plastic container with spring onions and a few slices of beef. As a Vietnamese, I am offended. But I also understand the tedious process of making Pho and with slow traffic it could be a waste. This place is offering such a large menu that nothing could really be made with love in my opinion. There are also 5 star reviews on their sushi? Vietnamese restaurants should not be serving sushi. If you can’t make something with decent quality then don’t make it. Essen herausragend, Service leider überfordert.

Eines vorweg: das Essen hier ist herausragend! Kreativ, hochwertig und schnell zubereitet.

Eigentlich würde ich hier einmal pro Woche essen, wenn der Service nicht so schwach wäre. Was so schade, aber ich denke auch leicht zu beheben ist. Meine Probleme bei beiden Besuchen mit dem Service: Es dauert lange bis eine Bestellung aufgenommen wird. Es dauert sehr lang bis die Getränke kommen (teils genausolang wie die Vorspeise) Bei einem Besuch wurde komplett vergessen die Bestellung der Hauptspeise an die Küche weiterzugeben. Es kam niemand um mal abzuräumen (leere Teller oder Gläser) und es wurde auch nicht nachgefragt, ob nochmal Getränke erwünscht sind. Dadurch haben wir jedes mal weniger bestellt als wir eigentlich wollten, auch weil wir nicht nochmal so lang warten wollten. Die Bedienung könnte entspannt, nachdem sie Speisen an einen anderen Tisch gebracht hat, (auf dem Rückweg) mal nachfragen oder Gläser abräumen. Es scheint als hätten die Mitarbeiter hier nicht den Blick.

Ich finde das Schade, weil das Ambiente und das Essen so klasse ist! Bitte guckt ob ihr euch professionelle Servicekräfte einstellen könnt, oder das Personal noch besser trainiert. Ich werde wieder kommen und hoffe, dass sich das Personal nach und nach eingroovt und besser wird. Dann lässt man auch (ganz von allein) bei jedem Besuch noch mehr Geld für...

Great menu, with different food and drinks. All very flavorful and nice portion, only the tempura had too much batter and very little vegetables, but I believe I was unlucky. We didn’t have the best service, I think this one guy was alone so I won’t criticize, I know it’s hard some days, but it took very long for us to get attention and our orders ready, we had to ask for napkins and stuff like that, and the place was not full.
