China-Restaurant Canton — Restaurant in Hamburg

This restaurant comes across a bit weird both on the outside and inside - but it's good at in what it does, which is serving Euro-Chinese cuisine.

A few dim sum are available, but mind that this is not a dim sum or traditional chinese specialised restaurant and it is more targeting European customers. The food is great nevertheless though, if you know what to order within those constraints.

I ordered food to be picked up however was extremely disappointed with what I got given the price. I had ordered 3 wonton soups which were all extremely salty. The chicken and duck I ordered as a main dish were not only overly salty, but the duck seemed as though it had been double fried. Gutes Essen und im Mittagstisch von 11:30-17 Uhr auch günstig zu haben. Knusprig gebackene Ente mit Reis, Gemüse und Vorsuppe für 13€ ist sehr preiswert. Normal für ca. 20€ geht auch.

Das Personal ist freundlich und schnell, aber manchmal etwas durcheinander mit dem Zustellen der Bestellung. Hat mich aber nicht gestört.

Was mich gestört hat ist der Stilbruch in diesem einen Zimmer wo ich saß. Man merkt sie haben sich im ganzen Restaurant viel Mühe gegeben mit der Inneneinrichtung und Hochwertiges verwendet. Nur in diesem einen Zimmer ist noch die alte Landhaus Kachelwand mit Motiven vom Hafen, Angler, Segelboote, Häuser, Mühle und das direkt neben der asiatischen Einrichtung mit verschnörkelten Decken, Fenstern mit Tieren. Das zog mich so ein bisschen raus aus dieser schönen Fern-östlichen Atmosphäre.

Es wird leise Musik gespielt, solche Musik wie man das aus asiatischen Liebesdrama-Serien kennt. Ich fand's passend und angenehme Lautstärke.
