Ristorante & Pizzeria Il Sorriso — Restaurant in Hamburg

As an Italian person, this was a very bad experience for me.

The 1 start is for the service only.

We ordered 2 pizzas, both were veeeery undercooked and totally tasteless....lucky we ordered a Gorgonzola one and thanks to the cheese I could enjoy it just a bit...

Pictures do not represent the reality! I’ve asked for the truffle spaghetti and I’ve been told those pictures were from the chain in Berlin(difficult to believe as are picture took from costumers in this restaurant........

The card machine was not charged and we had to wait for our payment for then discover they do not do contactless or accept credit card(it’s 2020 ffs, who’s doesn’t? And if it’s so it should be written somewhere) And at the end the card machine wasn’t working...

Real disappointment and total waste of time

All this 5 start reviews are maybe from people that do not really appreciate, know and understand Italian culture and cooking.

Looked for a restaurant that’s not in town and came upon this place… Service was good but it was also quite empty so can’t say what it’s like at full service.

But still … Tasty pizza lovely thin base could have been hotter but still very nice. Friendly staff and very comfy seats.

The spinach on the Gorgonzola and spinach pizza made it a little watery unfortunately so wasn’t 5 star … but still better than the one I had at another place where they’d put so much Gorgonzola on that you could taste it just through smell alone and was too strong. Selbst dieser Stern ist zu viel. Zuerst das gute das erste Getränk kam sehr schnell und die Rechnung auch. Gehnervtes Personal , Keinen beilagensalat nur wenn man Fleisch oder Fisch bestellt. Also nahmen wir einen großen und haben mit zwei Personen davon gegessen. Dann kam der endlich ca. 3/4 std. der Witz was da drauf war Salat ,1Tomate geviertelt , vier olivenstücke, Parmesan und Essig mit öl. Dann ging das warten los egal auf was ,das 2. Getränk und oder die Hauptspeise zwei Tische die nach uns kamen hatten ihr Essen früher. Egal das Essen kam es war Pizza die war so hart das man sie schwer schneiden konnte. Obwohl man uns vorweg schon steakmesser brachte mit den Worten die sind schärfer. Wir nahmen kein Nachtisch und auch keine Getränke mehr. Wir kamen um 18:30 und gingen um 22:15 . Danke für den Sambuka aufs Haus. Von den Preisen will ich gar nicht erst reden geht bis 15€ und dann erst wieder ab 25,50 € weiter. Man bekommt eine große Tafel an de Tisch gestellt mit 10 Gerichten drauf. Die Bedienung sagt einem dann was nicht mehr da ist alles unter 25€ gibt es nicht mehr . Es bleiben 3 Gerichte über . Was soll das? Ich bin wirklich nicht pingelig aber nein das...
