Vietnam Quan — Restaurant in Helmstedt

Was für ein glücklicher Zufall, dass am Donnerstag, 12.5.2022 kräftiger Westwind war, sonst hätte ich das tolle vietnamesische Restaurant in Helmstedt nicht kennengelernt und wäre wie jeden Donnerstag nach der Arbeit in der Praxis in Braunschweig mit dem Fahrrad nach Hannover zurückgefahren. Also jetzt mal mit Rückenwind gen Osten am Rand des Elm entlang durch Königslutter nach Helmstedt und dann mit dem Intercity zurück nach Hannover. Da ich doch so zügig in Helmstedt am Bahnhof angekommen war, dass ich noch eine Stunde Zeit bis zur Abfahrt des Intercity hatte, bin ich noch mal kurz zum Markt gefahren. Eigentlich wollte ich nur ein Bier trinken. Zufällig stellte ich mein Fahrrad vor dem Restaurant "Vietnam Quan" ab und entschied mich spontan, dort noch in meiner Fahrradmontur eine Kleinigkeit zu essen. Ich dachte zunächst, das wäre eine ganz normale "Abholbude", dem ist aber überhaupt nicht so. Trotz meiner Fahrradmontur wurde ich gleich von der sehr freundlichen Bedienung gefragt, ob ich oben sitzen wollte, was ich verneinte, da ich dachte, unten geht es zügiger, da ich ja auch nicht ewig Zeit hatte. Auf den Bildern im Internet habe ich dann gesehen, was oben bedeutet. Sieht sehr nett aus. Und die vielen Gäste, die nach mir kamen und reserviert hatten, scheinen das auch zu bestätigen. Und natürlich vor allem auch die Qualität des Essens. Was für eine leckere Tom-Yam-Suppe mit Garnelen und Yakitori-Spieße bekam ich und dazu nach der Radtour perfekt ein leckeres Weizenbier. Zufrieden kehrte ich mit dem Intercity nach Hannover zurück und werde mit meiner Familie, der ich vom Restaurant vorgeschwärmt habe, dort auf jeden Fall einmal zusammen essen gehen. Klaus Prank...

Vietnamese food is a food with history and tradition. Koreans like me love Vietnamese food as much as Germans love Vietnamese food. Among them, Vietnamese rice noodles reminded me of my visit to Danang, Vietnam a few years ago. The other food was also very good. And additionally they can serve sushi as well and the fish is in excellent condition. The shop is located in the central square in front of City Hall. The staff are very friendly and listen to the smallest voices of our guests. Our family is definitely going to visit...

We ordered Hue soup no.14 (my impression was Bun Bo Hue - based on the description), Noodle salad with shrimp no.15 and some sushi. I was a tiny bit disappointed with my Bun Bo Hue because it was not what I expected I would have. That did not taste or looked like the Bun Bo Hue I had.

On another hand, my boyfriend and his brother enjoyed their food a lot. As you could see from the photo, the portion were very good. So much food with reasonable price.
