Restaurant Review: A Disturbing Experience at Mr. Lian Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ I recently dined at Mr. Lian and unfortunately had an experience that was far from satisfactory, leaving me quite unsettled. Upon our arrival, my party and I stood at the entrance for about ten minutes, waiting to be seated. Despite there being no other customers waiting, it took an inordinate amount of time for anyone to acknowledge us. Eventually, a staff member came to assist us, while several others simply stood idly by, providing no help. Once we were finally seated, I noticed a significant delay in service. It took another 10 to 15 minutes for anyone to come back and take our drink orders. When I attempted to inquire about the menu, I was again left waiting, feeling invisible amidst the staff. After placing our order, which included fried dumplings, we experienced further delays. The food took an additional 15 minutes to arrive, and when it finally did, the fried dumplings were not only late but also utterly unacceptable. I was horrified to find a cockroach crawling out of one of the dumplings. I called over the server, who merely shrugged it off, offering to remove the dumpling from the bill without any further apology or concern for the situation. Moreover, during our visit, I couldn’t help but notice the lack of hygiene practices among the staff. I observed one employee returning from a break without properly washing his hands before handling food. This is alarming and poses serious health concerns. In conclusion, my experience at Mr. Lian was disappointing on multiple levels, from poor service to alarming food hygiene practices. I encourage potential diners to be cautious and attentive to their surroundings before choosing to eat here. This restaurant has serious issues that need immediate attention to ensure the safety and satisfaction of its customers. I hope my experience serves as a warning for others. Until significant improvements are made in service quality and food safety, I cannot recommend this...

Read moreThe last 2 times I have had to pick the mango out of each piece of each sushi roll because the skin was still on & it wasn’t ripe at all. Even after picking it out I still missed some. It was unappetizing to have to dig the mango skin out of my mouth mid chew. The texture of the tempura shrimp tasted slightly underdone too. There have been times in the past were the avocado was still a bit hard, I could get over that but mango skin has a very bitter taste and weird texture that ruined the sushi. The quality of take out orders has gone way down. I don’t know about dine in. We order the same thing every time. My boyfriend got an entree and they now pack the side salad in with the entree instead of its own container so it watered down and diluted the sauce plus it wilted the lettuce . Beef was very chewy, it used to be a lot more tender. This is the first bad review I have ever posted ever but it’s happened multiple times. This used to be my favorite restaurant in the ktown area. For the price I think the quality is the food should reflect. I have ordered from here dozens and dozens of times since they opened a few years ago but the last 2-3 times were a real...
