Maharaja — Restaurant in Karlsruhe

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Amazing Experience at Maharaja Restaurant!

While traveling to the Netherlands, we were extremely hungry and started searching for a nice restaurant. We decided to try Maharaja Restaurant and it turned out to be an excellent choice!

The food was absolutely delicious and had the perfect authentic Indian taste, unlike some other places that serve mixed South Asian cuisine. We started with tomato soup, which was prepared in true Indian style. The chicken tandoori and lamb curry were both outstanding — especially the lamb curry, which was served in a kadhai with a small flame underneath to keep it warm throughout the meal. The mango lassi was refreshing and perfectly sweet.

The ambience was beautiful, giving off a truly royal Indian vibe. The staff were very polite, and the service was excellent.

I would highly recommend Maharaja Restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Indian cuisinen...

Visited Karlsruhe for business visit and was amazed to see numbers of Indian restaurants in the city.

Maharaja is located near Karlsruhe Central Station and is quite popular one. When I visited the place on Sunday, it was quite busy. The staff was amazing and serving everyone promptly. Shout out to Prince for his excellent service.

There are plenty of food options. I love the way food is served. The staff put small fire oven on table so that food can remain hot. I never seem this before. Here is my list of favorite food options:

The sitting area is not very large. However if you are really big group than it may not able to fit.

I never tried desi restaurants that much, because when I did the food was never authentic. However, I read reviews for Maharaja, and then we happened to have a stop in Karlsruhe so we decided to try it out.

We were surprised by how well decorated the restaurant is. On top, the staff was really really nice, they took our luggage and placed it safely. The person waiting on us spoke Hindi with us, even though we're urdu speakers but we felt right at home.

Now coming to the food, it was amazing. We tried the makni chicken and roghan josh and it was amazing. The garlic naal, drinks everything. Would love to stop by again whenever we're in Karsruhe. We were in a hurry to catch the next train, if not we would've loved to try the wide variety of desi desserts.
