10/10. We travelled 2hrs just to eat here and it was 100% worth it.

If you have celiac, add this to your list. I'm extremely sensitive to gluten and now 24h after eating at this place, i can confirm this place is (gluten) contamination free.

The menu is really big, from appetisers to mains to desserts and ton of different drinks. Most (if not all) things are corn based but there's no flavour fatigue, so dont let that discourage you.

Big recommendation on the Birria tacos! Their drinks are amazing (we tried 3) perfectly sweet enough and refreshing - you gotta try the pomegrenate lemonade. Oh and their spicy sauces that you'll find on the tables - very tasty. I'm already looking online to order some for myself.

The atmosphere is wonderful! We went in the evening, whole place decorated in small lights, mexican music playing, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Even their toilet is adorable!

I visited this Mexican place recently and here's my honest review. It's not extremely authentic, but it’s definitely not too bad either.

The cochinita pibil tacos were good, but the carnitas tacos came with a huge pile of shredded carrots, very unexpected and not traditional at all. Drinks were decent; they could use a bit more alcohol, but overall they were fine. Not a selection of Mexican beers, which is a letdown.

The tamal was tasty, although it had a different flavor than the traditional. As for desserts, that was a definite miss, none of them were Mexican, which was disappointing.

All in all, it’s a solid effort for Germany. There’s room for improvement, especially in authenticity, but they’re on the...

Ich muss einfach sagen, dass Taol für mich mittlerweile das beste mexikanische Restaurant überhaupt ist! Von der ersten Sekunde an war ich total begeistert. Der Laden hat eine super stilvolle Atmosphäre, die aber trotzdem richtig gemütlich wirkt – irgendwie wie bei einer coolen mexikanischen Fiesta, aber ohne dass es übertrieben oder ungemütlich wird. Die Deko ist einfach perfekt – mit viel Charme und diesen typischen mexikanischen Details, die einem sofort ein gutes Gefühl geben.

Und das Essen! Ich könnte mich echt reinlegen. Alles schmeckt super frisch und unglaublich lecker – es schmeckt wirklich wie in Mexiko selbst. Die Portionen sind richtig üppig, was ein großer Pluspunkt ist, weil man sich wirklich satt essen kann, ohne das Gefühl zu haben, dass es zu wenig ist. Besonders die Tacos und das Guacamole sind einfach ein Traum. Man merkt richtig, wie viel Liebe in der Zubereitung steckt.

Der Service hat mich auch komplett umgehauen. Die Mitarbeiter sind nicht nur unglaublich freundlich, sondern auch echt aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Sie haben sich Zeit genommen, um uns zu erklären, was es auf der Karte gibt, und haben sich immer nach uns erkundigt, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Es fühlt sich wirklich an, als würde man bei Freunden essen.

Ein weiteres Highlight: Die Margaritas! Die besten, die ich je getrunken habe. Die Mischung aus perfekt abgemessenem Tequila und Limette ist einfach unschlagbar. Ich kann gar nicht genug davon schwärmen. Wenn du also ein Margarita-Liebhaber bist, dann solltest du das unbedingt ausprobieren.

Was mich auch total überzeugt hat, ist die Preis-Leistung. Für die Qualität, die man bekommt, ist es mehr als fair. Man bekommt super viel für sein Geld – sowohl bei den Portionen als auch bei der Qualität des Essens und Drinks. Alles kommt heiß und frisch auf den Tisch, und das in einer echt zügigen Zeit.

Alles in allem – Taol hat einfach alles, was man sich bei einem Restaurant wünschen kann: super leckeres Essen, ein tolles Ambiente, einen freundlichen Service und das Gefühl, dass man hier wirklich gut aufgehoben ist....
