You can have northsea shrimps sandwichs here for 9 euros. It comes with optional salad, onion, pickles and remoulade which was pleasant. They have 2 great outdoor terrace, i went for the one on the footsteps of the cityhall. 5 stars for the food and friendly service.

There is some room for improvement: the coffee is only filter coffee in a large cup (i couldn’t drink it) card payment are not accepted, though paypal is possible.

Big plus: the citihall bells ring a pretty melody in the couple of minutes before the full hour.

We're on holiday in East Frisia (Ostfriesland) and decided to do a day trip to Leer. This restaurant came highly recommended by someone at a museum we were at and all we can say is, the lady at the museum was totally right in her high regard of finding an unpretentious restaurant that's homely, has great tasting food, warm and lovely people and a cosy atmosphere. We are looking forward to coming back to Leer for a two to three day trip and spending more time at this wonderful gem of a restaurant with homemade potato salad and freshly caught fish. Totally...

Vor meinem Urlaub in Leer wurde mir dieses Goldstück empfohlen. Vor Ort habe ich dann die großartige Bewertung auf Google gesehen und mich enstcheiden, DA MUSS ICH HIN!

Bin also am frühen Nachmittag dort aufgeschlagen und wurde trotz der Vollheit und des Stresses sehr freundlich begrüßt und bedient. Tagesgericht war Spargel mit Schnitzel und Kartoffeln, also ran da. Dazu nen kühles Alster bestellt und an einen der tollen Tische gesetzt. Das Essen kam sehr schnell und die Portion war wirklich groß. Alleine der Geruch verriet schon, dass es schmecken wird. Der Spargel war auf den Punkt und ich habe noch nie einen so leckeren Spargel gegessen! Das Schnitzel war erstaunlich groß und ordentlich saftig. Die Portion Kartoffeln war auch vollkommen okay. Selbst die Sauce war ein Traum!

Das hat mir so sehr gefallen, dass ich 2 Tage später wieder aufschlug. Das Tagesgericht war absolut nicht mein Fall, also entscheid ich mich für Backfisch. Auch dieser wurde frisch zubereitet und mir schnell an den Tisch gebracht. Es gab ein "richtiges" Brötchen, nicht so einen Discounter-Aufback-Kram. Der Backfisch war sehr groß und mit einer tollen Remoulade und leckeren Gurken im Brötchen verpackt. Auch dieses Mal war es extrem lecker!

Das Ganze ist nicht ganz billig, aber jeden Cent wert!!!! Man merkt eben die Qualität!

Das Ambietente ist wirklich schön! Es gibt sogar einen tollen Außenbereich hinten!

Die Toiletten sind für den Ansturm etwas zu klein, aber sowas lässt sich ja nicht so einfach ändern.

Für mich wirklich 110%...
