Today I visited an Indian restaurant where there were mostly Germans. I was talking to my Mom on a video call but the Indian waiter asked me to use headphones. He explained to me in Hindi that the other German customers were looking at us and hence itâs not good to have a video call in a foreign language I.e. Hindi . So I stopped. I might have been little loud but his explanation showed that we are still colonized!
Little later my 7 year old son went for a stroll in the restaurant while the food was getting ready. After some time a fellow German customer came with her teenage daughter and said that her daughter has lost her phone. He said if my son or my 4 year old daughter might have picked/ found it. I was surprised and asked why he thought so. He answered that my son had once come near his daughter and might have picked her phone that might have fell from her pocket when he went for the stroll. I felt disgusting by this racism.
I went to a high end restaurant Kashmir Indian Restaurant spending more than an average restaurant would cost in this area! I was spending as any other customer there. Still the waiters would treat the Whites in special way. And the Whites humiliate us to any extentâŚ
Coming to food, it was good and full of variety but little bland to cater to German clients⌠Veggies could have been fried...
Read moreI recently visited Kashmir Indian Restaurant for the second time, having had a wonderful experience a few years ago when the food stood out for its exceptional taste and variety. Unfortunately, this visit fell a bit short of expectations.
The curries were a letdown, with a common base that lacked distinctive flavors. Despite requesting Indian spicy, the dishes were far from it. On the brighter side, the Tandoori Chicken was flavorful and well-prepared, easily the highlight of the meal. The Garlic Naan was soft but lacked a sufficient amount of garlic, which was disappointing. The Mango Lassi, however, was delightfulâperfectly balanced with less sugar.
Service was prompt and efficient, though the wait time was slightly longer due to the restaurant being crowded. The ambience was decent and comfortable.
While there were some high points, the overall experience didnât quite match my previous visit. A solid 3 stars for the good service, Tandoori Chicken, and...

Valentine's Day 2022 and Indian Food was what we wanted. Kashmir did the job and then some! We enjoyed our takeout. Customer service is fantastic and the food is addictive. Chicken Tikka and Garlic Naan with extra sauce is what makes the week worth getting through. See you there next week.
This was the busiest I have seen them in the past two years (COVID times suck). They worked very hard to make everyone happy and did quite well. The wait times were a little longer than normal but definitely worth the extra time. My only compliant is the rest of you folks have found my favorite Indian restaurant and are getting in line ahead of me. Move along! This is my place! ;-)
Can't wait for warm weather again so we can eat on the terrace with our dog.
